Spring decorating! I know, I know...I'm crazzzzy!

What can I say?
Yes, I am Spring decorating already.
I am like a dept store, always a month or two ahead of the season!

Remember the other day, I showed you this new color I am in love with this season?
It does scream Spring to me.

You recall the wreath I change out per season with a can of spray paint?  Well yes, it has one more life in it I think for color.   I will break down ext time and just buy a new twig wreath.  I like stretching a new life out of everything.

and her we go for the last one...

Embellished with a  few dollar tree foam eggs.
You get a whole pack for a dollar..on a stick, and I just pulled the stick out and hot clued these on.

Screams Spring, don't you think?

The color is Blue Ocean Breeze!

Thanks for stopping by.

A few announcements:

Teen boys bedroom makeover! {Newbie party started}

Ideas for decorating a teen boys bedroom
My son Alex who is a freshman in High school asked me a few weeks ago if I could update his room to a
Boys "teen" room. Apparently he was over the Magic picture and red, white and blues. I did not see anything wrong with his current room.  However, I understood his feelings and said I would see what I could do on a small budget. I am all about budget decorating!
My budget was $100.00.  I went slightly over, but that's OK it was worth it in the end.
Let's take a look at his old room first.

{Before}
Not a great photo, but it was with my old camera.
Now onto the current look.
Teenager style...

I wanted to incorporate a little music..as he is in the Marching band at school and plays the trombone..he loves it!

Recipe for success...nothing wrong with a little inspiration.

The pharmacy light I had in our family room until recently when I found an old cool one.

I bought this long wonky picture frame. I loved the graphics that were already there, and just replaced the center one with some sheet music.

Created a gallery wall from things I already had.  I painted the star black, as it was previously red.

Bought some new comfy bedding.

Added a few black faux leather pillows..better known as pleather in my vocab.

My son's dream is to go to Clemson University.  He wants to be a Medical Doctor.
We could use a Dermatologist in the house for the future of his Mother's skin of course.

I may in time add more to the gallery wall. For now, I used what we had.
This was no easy gig though. I wish Mike would have helped me. Lots of holes and patching later.

I  also took the drum shade off his free standing light and added to the ceiling fan.

I made his curtains some time back from drop clothes.
tutorial here
I taped them off and hand painted them.
They still work in the room, so no need to change them.

Displayed some more of his special stuff, his big hobby is still Airsofting, aside from his music.

Cute little card from his Girlfriend on Valentine's day.  I also bought this wooden I think book display at Goodwill for a buck.  I found this neat old music book as well for a$2.00.

It is from 1940 and has a lot of great music history in it.

Hope you enjoyed Alex's room makeover as much as I did doing it.
He was pretty happy!

NEWBIE party started...
MY GUIDELINES

*Blogging 6 months or less and or less than 100 followers.
*Would love for you to become a new friend of mine as well on google friend connect.
*PLEASE turn off Word verification, makes commenting very difficult, and you do not need it.
Blogger does a great job of deterring spam comments.
*PLEASE visit a few other participants, that is what you are here for!
*IF you find your link deleted, it is simply because you did not follow my simple guidelines.
*PLEASE add my link or button to your blog and/or post. I will just delete your post otherwise.

Please limit your links to two per newbie party.
thank you.
I would also like to mention, that we all should be watermarking our photo's.  Which basically means, add your name or blog name to each photo.  With pinterest on the rise in popularity, I see many pins out there with no name.
Do realize any party you link up to, gives people free reign to pin away, which is great, however, no name on the photo, no credit.  I always source out my features and I try only to feature ones with your names on them, that is for your benefit. Even though the pin may lead back to my original post, people would clearly see it was your work, with a link back to YOUR blog.

And don't forget about the Spring'tacular party coming up soon.
THE copy cat party will be in lieu of the newbie party that day.

Today I will feature, a lampshade makeover, stenciling fabric, an Annie Sloan chalk paint project, and chair makeover...WOW the talents out here.

You know how much I love lampshade makeovers, and embellishments...

I loved what Meegan from what Meegan makes did to this baby.

So cute!

Next, another project after my own heart...stenciling fabric and making a pillow from

What  a beautiful and unique pillow, all for a less than $2.00! My kind of project here.

Then there is the dreamy picture frame makeover from Swede Dreamer with Annie Sloan duck egg blue chalk paint.

You have to see the before to really appreciate it...this is gorgeous!

This last project from Wren from Easy Breezy is a real show stopper.
The chair before, was quite hideous...well NOT that bad, but the NOW..is WOW!

What a nice job Wren! She actually has two chair makeovers in this post.
