Now what?

So today I have been.........
I am guessing not alone there.....
Been cooking...............
Been doing a little of this too......
Pretty soon will be my one year Blogging anniversary...
323 posts
13,000 comments later.......
I am so happy with the balance I have found in blogging.  Took me awhile but I got it down now....
But what will 2011 bring, to you, for me, perhaps to newcomers along the way?
I have NO CLUE!
There is always new fun decor and vignettes to share....

I just can't get rid of these cute bottles.

New beginnings

Even Mr. Roo is wondering what will be....

I thank my loyal followers, most of which I have had since the very beginning. How lucky I am indeed.
Reflecting on 2010, it has been a great year all the way around.
If you recall my OPRAH gig, failure big video debut?  That was the most fun I had being silly, creative and just being myself.  The name of my show  was going to be Debbiedoos Blogging and Blabbing, hence that will be my new 2011 blog name.  No changes on your end, I should still come up just the same.
I would love to hear some of your favorite blog reads? What I mean is who are some of your favorite BLOGGERS?  I want to add some new ones to my list, per some recommendations.
I feel like I don't really get out of my comfort zone too much.
I am having fun with my new camera, and will be pursuing that for sure.  Do you know any good photography blogs?  In the meantime, let's get through ole MAN
 and Hopefully be refreshed soon.

Playdate with my new camera

Today was so beautiful I decided to go outside and snap a few pictures with my new camera.  I did not get many as I got sidetracked quickly....what else is new?
I did manage to get my son Alex in a great mood today and he was a willing participant, not for long though!
Not bragging or anything, but the texting hotline for my son is ridiculous with the girls! He looks so serious!

THis picture I stood in front of my house, it is a shot all the way down the end of the block

This is some of the neighbors landscape, I like this bush or plant or whatever you call it.

My Jack after a very long day at the skate park..just kinda zoning.

Some are happy, some are sad!

THis is way deep into the woods, look at the branches, and see the cool squirrel's nest?
And oh me oh my look what us South Carolinians woke up to this morning! It is absolutely beautiful!

Every kid must eat snow at least once! I told Jack I sure hope there was no doggie pee pee on it....

I  hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas.  Hard to believe all the hustle and bustle and baking and wrapping is all gone now.  Have a wonderful day all, I can tell you we will for sure!
For those of you who have asked me what kind of camera Mike bought me:
It is The Panasonic LUMIX
Fz35 18X Optical zoom.

My husband researches things to death before he make a purchase.  For the money and all the outstanding reviews, I can see why he chose this camera for me.  I love it, and have a lot to learn, but so far it has been  a  great camera to work with. Without the MEGA pricetag, it has all the bells and whistles I can want before leaping into a really expensive one.

Got my Martha on!

Yeah, that's
right........
I saw a craft the other day on Martha Stewart.com and I was very inspired.
This is a post from last year that I did not happen to share with many parties.
So I thought today I would share with Layla's table scape holiday party.
Thank you Layla!
The Lettered Cottage
..
Here is my inspiration....thanks Martha!
They are just cute little place card settings, made with sticks.

 How easy and cute!

Real Holly and holly berries from our tree outside

My very good German friend was moving back to Germany, before she left she gave me this table cover.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.....

Here are where some of my table items came from:
Colored chargers: World Market
Snow flake glasses:  Dollar tree last year
China was given to me
Red Mercury glass vase: Marshalls this year $10.00
Three silver votive snow flake candles: Bath and Body works with 10.00 coupon
Today {11-30-10} I am sharing with Centsational girl. She is having a Holiday table scape contest, and I thought why not, I would LOVE a homegoods gift card...that is my all time favorite place to shop!
This was last years table scape, however, I thought it is a Christmas holiday one, and one of my favs.
Thanks Kate!

This is it!

Well this is the last of the 2010 home decor! I bet your glad. Not sure what 2011 will bring in terms of blogging, and I will take it as I go.
I changed out the comforter, to this brown coverlet  I had from last year, swapped some pillows out from my guest room.

Bought a package of 5 of these candles from Walmart, I know there are Wally haters out there, but hey I get some cute stuff there sometimes. The plate as well...Walmart along with the pillow...

Added a little jazz to the french poster

Added this to our candle chande we have by the window.

Thanks so much for stopping by and all your nice comments. I tell my boys and husband all the kind thing you all say. They even know some of you on a first name basis by now.  These pictures were taken with my old camera.  I am anxious to start learning some new tricks with my new one. I have some studying to do.
I will be joining Kim's Boring to Better party.

Well this sure was special!

http://www.amerheritage.com/merchimages/christmas/enesco/bigNativity.jpg

If you have been reading my blog for a while you know about the reconnection of Mike and his Dad after 17-18 years.  It has been wonderful and honestly I feel like he has always been in our lives.
After meeting him and getting to know him, genetics cannot be denied, and to quote Paul ( Mike's DAD) "that's a good thing".
Well getting to my post
His lovely wife Donna has been an added bonus to our lives.  I could not ask for another better Mother in law.  I enjoy her company, her wit, and her kind, kindred nature.  Donna recently asked me if I would like to have a Nativity set.  It was not only made by her, but she had given it to her MOM, who enjoyed it for many years.
Since her Mom has passed the set went back to Donna and has been in their basement since.
For one thing, I do not have a nativity set, and for two, everyone seems to know where to call when they want to give something special away. US!!.
I would take any and all of them, but unless someone is willing to give us a new home of sentiment, than I can't do it anymore.
SO Donna this was the last of many special things given to us.
I say that now, until someone asks again.  I just adore everything of sentiment. Thank you:)

I set up the scene,  and Donna was kind enough to send us pictures of how her Mom had it. It is gorgeous and all hand made. In fact Donna won awards for this back in the day.   And hey give Donna lots of KUDOS for this, I am sure she is happy to see it.
Although, not displayed like her Moms on a FP, I did find a nice safe place for it, and we can enjoy it just the same.
When sitting on the couch, the table I put the Nativity  on is within perfect view. Every one who has come in the house has noticed it.

I just love it, I tried to get some close ups but because of the sun and the glare they did not turn out.

This picture was taken from the loft area. I get to enjoy this nativity from up above!

Thank you Donna! We will treasure it for years to come!
