Just a thought and a BluRB.......

Last night while at Bunco with my friends, I mentioned I am blogging.  Most never even looked at one and wanted to know what the heck I am blogging about (I guess my life is so boring they do not think I have much to say) LOL....all kidding aside.  One of my close friends also mentioned she noticed this past week I have been  withdrawn ...in terms of not calling and talking on the phone with her as much.  Brings me to this......I have been a bit OCD over this blogging venture and want to make it just right and fun for all.....Do yOu ever find Yourself obsessing over something, and if So WHAT??? Please share..........

Your blog!!! Ha! I do obsess over decorating my home. I fret and fret and don't know what to do. My dream is to have this picture perfect home that everyone walks in and wants to stay. I want Jemma to be so proud of her home and be proud to bring her friends here. I can walk in anyone's house and say, "oh, you need to paint this color, hang this here, ect..." In my own home, I panic and stress over it! That is why I have you girls now!!!

I'm with "Jemsmom" on that one! I really look at every detail and think forever about them. Then, trying to work on a budget, just means more thinking! With the girls I am very sensitive because my first husband has the 3800 sq ft "dream house" that I decorated where they go on weekends. Having "started over" we are in 1500 sq ft. but planning to expand in every direction. Also, I obsess about wanting it nice all the time so if anyone drops by anytime, I will be ready for them. I have not gotten there yet! I always have some project going on or something so it's not always "staged." That's hard with kids, but I still obsess over it. I want to be June Cleaver:-)

i can surely identify about that one, debbie. i obsess about everything. it used to be word puzzles ,then sodoko puzzles(still is). i volunteer to teach reading and english as a second language. every time i start a new student i am totally lost in thought for days planning a lesson. and of course , now its RMS. i always figured it was a sign of intelligence to be able to concentrate and zone out when other things are going on around us. i guess that puts us up in about the 150 range, dont you think?

I am obsessed with how my house looks for one! I like it clean and I like it to look like "me" if that makes sense! I like to decorate in colors that I love and I want my home to reflect my personality! I also am obsessed with cleaning! I like it clean! I probably overuse bleach and probably use 50% of our electricity on the vacuum. I also obsess over the care of my grandpa! So there are my obsessions!

I definitely obsess over my home and my husband calls me the vacuum queen because I do it almost daily. I love a clean house. I also love color as many of you know from rms. Right now I am obsessing over whether to paint my built-ins on both sides of the fireplace or not. Not sure I want to even start that. I feel like I just got the house back together from Christmas and if I start painting I will be in a mess again for a few day. We may start painting the walls in the great room, foyer, and stairwell up to the upstairs hall. All these walls join together so there is no stopping point. They all have to be the same. I wish I could just hire people to do it or better yet twitch my nose and it's done!! If we paint we have several cracks that will need to be fixed by my husband first. Now that is even more mess!!

Oh I can't stand the mess when I paint either, but I'm doing it right now. Just got done painting my bathroom. The ceiling needed done too...(I hate painting ceilings) and now I'm starting on our spare bedroom. Yes, I can say I obsess over a clean home too. My husband is exactly like me so we obsess together. Tonight I was a little OCD over getting all the snow off our driveway. Grr...I hate snow!

I used to obsess terribly. I make myself do things that will break the obsessions(not getting on RMS for months was last OCD break) so that I keep myself in check. First occurrence of breaking the obsession was about 12 years ago. I never missed an episode of Friends, and I was scheduled to work, and therefore miss half the show. I was pissed and hating the client for scheduling the time slot, even thought I loved the client dearly. Ironically, it made me think of the episode of Friends where Monica couldn't leave her shoes out overnight, she HAD to put them away. I realized that it was a chain tethering me, so I worked extra on that client passed the shows time slot. They were super greatful, I felt good about helping them and I realized that it wasn't life or death, that show. Staying busy and know what's really important helps:)
