BEFORE
So you wonder where do I get all my energy and creativity from? Well It is genetics baby! I mentioned to you long ago, I recall my Mom changing curtains, place mats, rugs and everything else she could under the sun! My sister was not passed down this gene...however she is very bright and is has creative thoughts I must
say. She always adds a good idea to the mix. I thought I would share some of the things my Mom has been doing lately. I just thought this was so clever, and you too can do the same.

(Wow. sorry about all my deleted comments. I kept spelling my name wrong. Can't have that! LOL!)

I love the way your mom's garden "grows"! (When someone paint-gardens this splendidly, what colour does that make her thumb? Truly, it's gotta be more than the typical green!)

The first statue pictured reminds me of the effect one gets when they hand-watercolor a black and white photograph. Very beautiful indeedy, Debbie's Mom!

P.S. Although I'm still brainstorming for B&A Wednesday, I'm still planning to make it a go. See you then!

No wonder you are so talented, Debbie. You took after your mom. I wonder if you know what type of paint is used to paint on glass bottles. I am opening a store downtown, just a room inside a store and I would like to paint on my many bottles and sell them too...Christine

Well those garden statues are just a canvas waiting to be painted! I have a fairy out there that better run tonight as the paint brush is coming. I have something posted that would work for your b4 and after this Wed. Hope I can remember? Questionable.

You know what I think of your mom!! I already know how creative she is, but she is also the sweetest thing ever:-) She is always so thoughtful and sweet, and always has great tips. But you already know all that!! She is a doll. I think she needs to start her own blog!

omgosh i thought it was the top of a monkeys head at first lol:)had no idea you took my pics off facebook page .But anyhow thank you all for the sweet comments .Well for those that want to know how i did it i used craft paint.I did blend colors to make what colors i wanted to do the distressed part on the boy i dry brushed over with watered down white paint. To do the little girl on the fountian i watered the pinks and greens to look like water color .Then i spraid clear paint a little heaver on her to give her a glazed look.Iam working on another little girl on a bench with her cat in a basket she will look like water color also .Mabey Debbie will take that of my facebook lol.I see why Debbie loves bloging you gals are oh so sweet thanks again.Love you Deb xxxooo

What a Great idea to livin those garden pieces up! Those things are on clearance some places now, so I'll have to start looking. Since I haven't sold my house yet I decided to start working on it again. What the heck, enjoy it while I have it & I can take most of my decorations to the next house.
Your ideas are so easy and fun. I see these post and actually think 'I can do that!' :-)

Thanks for always sharing, Debbie!
What a great friend you are! :-)
Hugs,
Coreen

Debbie,
These are CUTE! I realized right away your mom was using ceramic paints. See, My mom did ceramics when I was growing up and I helped paint some of them. Unfortunatly I cannot do painting anymore...the smells really give me massive headaches. If there is ever a no VOC or low VOC paint for ceramics, metals and suchlike I'd love to know it! Otherwise its a mask on my face for me :(

Anyhow...forgive me for rambling on...I think these garden Peeps are just the Bees Knees!

Thats so cool that your mom has taught you all this creativeness (lol). Sometimes color is better than neutral. I can recall the same memories, my husband now makes fun of me because I change things around so often according to the month, the upcoming holiday or just for the heck of it. I definately inherited the themed christmas tree decor gene. My husband hates it...lol
