GaRAGE SaLEN PARTy #12
This week was nothing major for me as I showed you in my previous Mellow Yellow post. I have something I am working on soon to show you for an upcoming post....I am not sure on the color though, so it may be changed before I show you.
Some fun features from last week first........
This was a great idea..really expressed some creativity here...I know something I certainly would not have thought of.http://www.prettyhandygirl.com.
Jeralee scored great on this dining set...she is not sure what to do with the chairs though....I say recover and leave the cane, and perhaps paint the chairs...any other ideas?
This mirror rocks for 2.00!!~CRAZYCATDECOR you sure know how to score! Enjoy the party everyone. You certainly know the rules by now. I would love for you to visit a few other participants. We all know the time it takes to put just one little post together....don't you want people to see it? Well pay them a visit, and I betcha they will come back to you:)!!~
ENJOY!!~ And please DO NOT forget to link back to me, so that others know about the party as well...common courtesy here:)
I truly appreciate your participation in my party...big or small, I love it just the same!!~ I also value your virtual friendships that continue to grow, I learn from you all what more I can do out here....so thank you for helping me grow!

Hi Debbie, that mirror was a great find for two dollars. Thanks bunches for the link party and have a lovely weekend! hugs♥olive
I saw My Sweet Savannah's chairs that were very much like those and she did just what you said, painted, left the cane and they were stunning! BTW just love your new page, love lemons so pretty!
Thanks for the shout out Debbie! What a pleasant surprise! I am going to paint the chairs, but the cane is in such disrepair, that some of it will need to be replaced.
Thanks for hosting. I love that first idea.
I am sharing the pillowcase blouses because I bought the pillowcases at the thrift store!!
Thanks for the party. I love seeing what other garage salers are up to and what treasures they find in their parts of the country.
That was a great find on the mirror! Wonderful.
I agree about the dining room chairs - leave the cane (if possible), paint them and replace the seat covers. Love the mirror - great deal! I like the colors and the creativity of using the door in the first picture.
Thanks for hosting this party Debbie!

I like the door idea.
I'd paint the cane white or a color that goes with the decor and use a coordinating fabric to recover the seat.
Have fun!

I love the doors and the chair!! Reminds me of the chair I showed in the first weeks of your party! I need to work on it, too!!
I found a couple things that I have had but not posted on your party yet. I will do that tomorrow morning!
Still trying not to buy anything!
The door turned into an end table is amazing!!! I love it.
I have nothing this week but yesterday, on our way out I was dumping our trash and found the cutest little antique dresser! Hopefully I'll have it done for next weeks party and for now I'm going to enjoy everyone else's entries:)
I love the use of that door. I have a passion for old doors and love the idea of using them as "art". Thanks for such a fun party and for your generous spirit!!
Love,
Susan and Bentley

Well, I hope I did that right, I've never joined before (which is kinda silly, as I've been following your blog for awhile and going to garage sales all year). Anyways, I'm so happy to be participating, it always sounds like a lot of fun when I read about it.

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for visiting my blog! So glad to have found your garage sale'n party!! So much fun!! :)
Always a treat to stop by and see what the girls are finding. Me, I'm not leaving the house. We are in the 90s AGAIN with 100% humidity. NO Salen is worth that sweat to me.
Heading out to fry and egg on the sidewalk for lunch,
Kate - T.G.B.
