Decorating with Ice skates for the holidays!

Hi there! hope you are all having a wonderful weekend so far.
My in-laws  from Buffalo are in and we are busy having a wonderful time
Everyone seemed to like my ice skate. Notice I say Ice skate, as in singular.

I only have ONE white one.  My Mom scored it for me, and I am happy with just one, as it is special and so cute.
You know we must be different anyhow:)
This year I did find a black pair of Men's skates and not sure what I will do with them.
In the meantime, let me share some inspiration of decorating with ice skates....

As you can see there are so many cute ways to incorporate ice skates into your holiday decor...
I say pick up a pair next time you see them!

And look how adorable these are from Etsy by Brooch boutique

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and see you Sunday night for the Holiday copy cat party.

Oh, I'm going to loss it right now. As you will read. I made a surprise visit to "another" or the "other" G.W. today. I had a pair of skate in mind. Thinking that up here in snow country they would be an easy score. But, not a white one to be found. There was a pair of black ones I passed up one for 6.99. Dang it to all, now you have me running back there first thing in the a.m. to stand in line with the same 12 angry men to snatch them up. That last pair is "too die for cute" and I think me and my paints just might be able to handle that. I'll be back for another peek. Here's to having a good weekend. Cheers, Kate

looks so pretty but we use our skates all winter, maybe I should have kept some of the old ones!!
I think they look lovely hanging on the mantle, we hang ours by the fireplace to dry out, I guess I'm decorating and I didn't even know it!

Love the skates!
I took ice skating lessons as a teen, and just seeing ice skates sure brings back happy memories.

I saw a pair hooked together (from the inside) and filled with greenery, and pip berries, etc..
So cute!!

Have a great time with your family :)

You know, I saw a pair of skates at a consignment shop about a month ago. I stared at them for the longest time. They spoke to me, but I didn't listen. Since seeing your skate & now all these beautiful photos, that's all I want are those skates! Tomorrow I'm going to see if they're still there, but I doubt it. Lesson learned.

I really love that "snow" mantel with the pair of ice skates hanging in the middle! I wish it was cold enough here to ice skate outside. I see that in movies and always think it looks like so much fun. Thanks for sharing these inspirational pics.

I love putting out my boys' old double runner skates. I have a pair of white skates for myself, too, but I usually leave them with the rest of the skates for actual use. Maybe I should use them for my seasonal decor, too. Great images! Thanks for sharing.

Who would have thought? I love all your pictures but especially the one of the skate on the door...like a wreath only not! I had white ice skates when I was a girl. They had light blue laces and blue yarn pom poms. I have no idea what happened to them. Wish I did. Thanks for the trip down memory lane...Have a great weekend!

Hi Debbie, I too love vintage ice skates. Your skate looks darling hanging from your mantel. I have 3 pairs. One mens black pair like you found hang from a hook in our Snowman Christmas bedroom. The white ones hang from a wreath on my front door. I love both of them. But then last year while vacation in Wisconsin I found a darling black childs pair with red laces at a thrift store. They say Lake Placid on them. I think they are my new favorites. They hang from a vintage sleigh on my porch. I will be sharing it At The Picket Fence for the party. All of the pics you showed are just darling. Excited for the party to begin!

I wish I has skates as I am loving the great ice skate décor I've seen in blogland for Christmas. It might look a bit strange here in Australia though as it's summer here!

If you have 5 minutes to spare I would be so honoured if you could join in with my weekly Pinterest link up and link up this post!

I will be back tomorrow with my copycat post from my Christmas blog! See you then.

Best wishes,
Natasha.
