Tea cup candles {Newbie party started}

I have a very lovely collection of  vintage tea cups that have been passed down to me from family, both an Aunt and my FIL.
There is no shortage of china in my house.
I saw these lovely tea cup candles on a wedding site, and they say they were from
Anthropolgie.

Very pricely I may add.  about $23.00 a tea cup.  Ummmm....I don't think so.

How about Free for me!
I brought out a few of my favorite, and I decided I would make my own pretty vignette.

These music note roses I bought for $5.00 on a recent trip to the antique mall.  They are so pretty!

I just added a tea light to the tea cups!

They look so pretty on our dresser.

Like I mentioned I have a beautiful collection.  I am sure my FIL is happy that I love these and use them, perhaps not in a traditional way, but none the less I get to enjoy them.

You may also make your own tea cup candles and here is a tutorial from
Enjoy the newbie party!
Let's get it started!

    MY GUIDELINES
*Blogging 6 months or less and or less than 100 followers.
*Would love for you to become a new friend of mine as well on google friend connect.
*PLEASE turn off Word verification, makes commenting very difficult, and you do not need it. NOW there, are two words, I mean seriously, a time killer here.
Blogger does a great job of deterring spam comments.
*PLEASE visit a few other participants, that is what you are here for!
*IF you find your link deleted, it is simply because you did not follow my simple guidelines.
*PLEASE add my link or button to your blog and/or post. I will just delete your post otherwise.

Please limit your links to two per newbie party.
thank you.
I would also like to mention, that we all should be watermarking our photo's.  Which basically means, add your name or blog name to each photo.  With pinterest on the rise in popularity, I see many pins out there with no name.
Do realize any party you link up to, gives people free reign to pin away, which is great, however, no name on the photo, no credit.  I always source out my features and I try only to feature ones with your names on them, that is for your benefit. Even though the pin may lead back to my original post, people would clearly see it was your work, with a link back to YOUR blog.

And don't forget about the Spring'tacular party coming up soon..MARCH 12th
THE copy cat party will be in lieu of the newbie party that day.

All Old and special

We love Old things, have you figured that out yet? Last night we had some friends over and we were sitting around our pub playing games having a ball. One friend said to us, "what I love about you guys and your home is everything has a story and has meaning"! Well that is true for the most part.
Let me show you a cabinet in which I have never shown you before.  Not sure why, I think because it is tucked in a corner, as we have NO space for it anywhere else.  This 1940's piece we scored at an antique shop in South Florida.  We were in our first home, really did not have a lot of extra money at the time. We loved the style, the color and that it would have a purpose for our dishes.  At a price of $350.00 we thought that was pretty good for an old curio cabinet, and we knew we would have it forever.
Now pardon the mess inside.  I have a beautiful collection of dishes, and some gorgeous tea cups that  my FIL just handed down to us.  THey were his Mom's and they are all very old and beautiful.
I really need to take everything out and rearrange this cabinet...it is on my to do list
These truly are the prettiest tea cups I have ever seen.

THis old picture we just scored a couple of weeks ago....$20.00, we love the scene and the frame.
Next week I will share with you a fun game we played at our PUB last night...it of course had special meaning, and we let our friends participate in the ceremony.
I want to thank all of you for the support and friendship you have shown me.  Some I had no idea cared as much, however, your personal emails, and kind words were all so touching.  I have found the balance I so need.  Obviously as you can see I am posting in moderation, and that was the KEY for me. I am glad those three weeks away you did not forget me, and rip me off your blog roll HA!!~
