Well I didn't have fears before, but I do now!!!! What a scary pic. lol

One fear I do have as I get older is growing older and I have to get past that. Of course I would rather grown old than the alternative. Hope I keep my health.

This is a good one...I hate clowns. Always have, always will. They are creepy. This sounds corny but I'm scared to death to drive or ride beside a semi truck on the highway. Especially in the West Virginia and Virginia mountains. We have to go that way when we head to the beach. I really don't know why either. I was never in an accident with a semi truck but it is was it is. I'm very panicky traveling. It's very interesting on trips because we mostly drive. Break out the setatives !

Luvdsun, you are certainly not alone. I don't like the big trucks either especially after watching some specials on t.v. about how many horrible accidents there are each year. I have a friend that is really scared by them because they had on run them off the road and almost into a river several years ago. I always gun it to get around one if I can. I do not want to stay beside one.

Kim, lol... that's me too. Gunning it to get past them. I'm always afraid of one of those tire things flying off and hitting me. Ya know, that rubber stuff you see on the side of the highway...yikes !

I have a huge fear of frogs. When I was a child, I ran across my backyard barefooted and stepped on a frog. I have been terrified of them ever since. It doesn't matter when I see them, it startles me and a scream comes out. I have even had nightmares about them. People don't understand it at all. Most people think it is funny. I can't explain the way I feel about them. I can't even look at them or think about them. That it my worst fear when I am working in my landscaping, that I will see one.

You would never make it around my pond then because we have lots of frogs and my pond will be full of tadpoles in the spring to become new frogs. It does scare me when I can't see them and they jump, but not scared like you are. I am scared of snakes and we have had our fair share of those too.

I don't like snakes, but I more than likely would be more scared of a frog than a snake. I know, it's weird. We have a small pond in our backyard. That is actually one of the reasons we drained it. The frogs would sit on the edge of it. That is a project for the spring. I'm sure I'll be posting it on RMS and asking for input!!

Mine is those snakes. In Texas we had often those green (like lime) ones. Not sure what the heck name they have but they were all over near our place and the copper heads. Back here in Wisconsin its just gardner snakes but up home in Mi. ,those Big Pine snakes, Uggg!!!! I just cannot stand snakes. As to the Big trucks, yeah those scare too. my husband has driven semi since age 17 and its not always a fear for some but should be. They forget they dont stop quick and people do like to pull right in front of them. He has never had an incident in all these years but has buddies that have, in fact in our storm yesterday a car pulled in front of one. A sad ending for the cars driver. And as you can imagine not a good time for the trucker either. hes off for a few days to try and cope.

I had 3 childhood fears! 1- dogs. 2- heights and 3- Lamas. I remember as a child being at the Omaha zoo and being in the animal petting area. I was probably about 3. I was petting the sheep, the goats and the lama- while it was sitting down. Then the damn lama stood up-holy crap was that thing tall. I never went in another petting area at a zoo if there was a lama in there. Now- lamas are fine. So are dogs. I guess the dogs had better be beings I have 2 cows for dogs! LOL- 1 - Mastiff and 1- Great Pyrenees. Oh what fun they are to take care of. Yeah right! Now heights, I still don't care for and I also can not stand snakes! Oh they just really are disgusting things. Some have them for pets- WHAT? Not for me, no way , no how! Well there are my past and present fears!

Crystal, I don't like snakes either. Last year I found one in my driveway, as I was coming back home. Lucky him (not lucky me), he didn't get run over! So I started sweeping him (yes, with my broom) away... and screaming very loud!!

Poor guy, he probably was more scared than me!!! :-D

I dont remember any of my childhood F.e.A.R, I am sure there will be some but now I forget ...
Nowadays I have a fear about ......
Once I attend a ladies get together party, where we discuss and share our family, kids, our daily routine etc etc. There one lady said, we ladies normally pray for our family for our kids husbands, for their well being and for their health, but do we ever pray for us? Do ever we say to God that we too need a healthy life, good care and all that . 70% ladies said No, not in such a way in which we pray for our kids. Then she said, do ever you consider or think what will your kids do if you are not there, if your health or your life dont permit you to take of them ... everyone there is become very quite a pindrop silence... no one has any answer.. then again she started,be sure of it that no one can be a subsitute of mother, your kids needs you at everytime and specially in their growing age.. so when you pray to God for their well being always pray for yourself because indirectly it is also for the wel being of your kids... this thing is still remain in my mind and from that I always pray that as much as my kids need me, please God make me healthy and full of life...
So sometime I have a fear if i dont survive because of any reason, who will take care of my kids, my husband is a very loving father and its my strong feeling that kids need both the parents, so now I pray for two of us too as much as i pray for my kids
Its my fear, my husband oftenly said its basically love for someone hat you start care yourself because of someone... agreed?

I have a fear of dogs. When I was 3 a dog bit me and later died. I guess I wasn't too tasty! My Mom took me to the doctor and because the dog couldn't be found I was in danger of rabies. We were told if I didn't take the shots I could die and if I did take them I may never walk again. I took a shot everyday for 14 days. I don't remember the dog or being bitten but I remember all 14 shots. BUT my greatest fear is spiders. I totally freak out! YIKES!!!

As a child I kept my favorite stuffed animals and a small pile of clothes at the foot of my bed in case of a fire. I don't think I was afraid, but I just wanted to be prepared!

Luvdsun, I am with you on the clown thing. When I was little my friend's sister had a picture of one in her room and I swear the eyes would follow you. Freaked me out. Then that Stephen King movie came out about crazy clowns. The cover for it was a crazy scary clown with razor teeth. Well that clinched it. Clowns are bad!

Now my fears are just about my husband and child. I don't know what I would do if anything happened to them.

Jemsmom, No way, I know exactly what book cover you are talking about with that disturbing clown. My sister had that book and scared me with it all the time!

I guess my biggest fear is posting a space on RMS!!! Just kidding!!????

In reality, I have a tremendous fear of fires. We live just outside of Yosemite National Park. There are sooo many careless people out there who have no idea what they are doing!
We do our part in clearing and brushing, but forest fires are so unbelievably powerful and tend to "jump". We have the most awesome fire crews (Cal Fire)and they truly care about us, but they can only do so much. We spend a lot of time counting our blessings that we have spared the horrors of losing everything to a fire.

OMG did you ever see that movie the Birds? I did not sleep for weeks, and every time I see a dead bird I scream! But I have too many fears to mention, and some actually shock people!!

You are right Debbie, The Birds is a scary one. When I was in 4-H and had sheep, the barn swallows would chase me out of the barn and even try to "get me" when I was at the water spigot. Those damn things knew I was getting even more scared each time and they would swoop me horribly. My grandma heard me scream one and day and came out to rescue me, thank God for Grandma! I have a friend(saw the Birds)that can't even be in the car and see a flock of birds outside without freaking out, she needs help:)
