We have had the pleasure of stopping through Savannah, Georgia twice now. We want to make a weekend trip there soon. It is one of the neatest places I have ever seen!!~ Oh and the food, to die for...here is a little history lesson on Savannah
Since her founding in 1733, Savannah has been one of America’s favorite destinations for business and pleasure. Today, she attracts nearly seven million visitors every year, sparking seven million cases of love at first sight.
Located in the heart of Coastal Georgia's Lowcountry, Savannah is a city of rare natural beauty—of azaleas in bloom and stately oaks draped with Spanish moss. These landscapes have been lovingly enhanced by two centuries of manmade splendor, from her distinctive park-like squares and cobblestone streets to the magnificent architecture of her storied antebellum homes and churches.

Funny thing about Savannah is you really do feel like there are ghosts all around....Good ones though. Charleston South Carolina is also filled with Ghost stories and tours, along with St. Augustine Florida. We actually took the Ghost tour in St. Augustine at 11:00p.m. all I can tell you is my Boys where sheet white!~ It was funny, and they where not too traumatized.

Debbie, I love, love, love Savannah. We visited there for several days last year at spring break. We stayed at the Avia hotel and walked everywhere! It was a good thing because we worked off the calories from all the food we ate! I am just itchin' to go back, but this time I'd like to stay in a B & B.
Debbie, we have been several times to Savannah. Such a pretty place with the moss hanging from the huge old oak trees. Good shopping, too. Yes, and good food. We ate at Paula Dean's resturant last time. Really good, but you need to be really hungry. Lots of food.

I luv this awesome SOUTHERN city...my sis lives nearby in Hilton Head...I'm planning on starting our 25th anniv. trip in Savannah...Mr.CC has never been there.

Savannah is on my list of cities to visit. We visited Charleston once, but didn't make it to Savannah. It looks amazing.
I've only flown in and out of Savannah on a trip to Hilton Head. I would love to stay there one day!
That sounds like a very nice place to visit. I enjoyed taking the tour with you today. I will have to put this on my list of places to go.

We are hoping to visit Savannah soon. My son was interested in the art college there. Can't wait...Paula Deen's here we come! As for St. Augustine, its a hop, skip, and a jump from where I live and we visit often. Love the ghost tours!! I'm hoping to do a homes tour there and get some great pics to post.

Hi Debbie, love your photos and history about Savannah. We spent a whole week on Tybee Island and visited Savannah all week. A fabulous place. We took the ghost tour. Awesome.

Those photos look great We didn't make it to Savannah in November but had gone to Charleston. Maybe when we go back in a couple of months we will. It looks just as beautiful.

I love Savannah. It just seems so laid back. The pictures are so pretty!
The closest I've been to Savannah is Atlanta, once. It makes me miss the South. I definitely remember the moss overgrown trees, and the old, stately mansions. The West is definitely beautiful, but I love the South!
