And they call it mellow yellow....

Once again participating in my favorite partay of the week, Miss Jenny's Alphabet Rainbow party. YELLOW!!~ Is the color this week. So it Seems it is a little quiet these days for thrifting.  I managed to hit Goodwill the other day with my son Jack.  He grosses out at the thought that these things where actually other peoples, I reassured him we clean them good of other peoples cooties.  I found this little tray, it is not silver just something cheap made in China...but none the less cute with some pretty detail. Took me little time to clean it and transform it to life again.
BEFORE....I paid $2.99 for this little tray...I just thought it was cute though....and what color did I choose you ask????
Little paint, little craft glaze later...I have an elegant little platter...
I just love this photo is all.....I will be re-posting this tomorrow sometime for my Garage SALEN partay...see you then for linking up.

Here are some parties I will be joining as well:

I am such a sucker for leaves. I would have bought it too - I don't know if I would have thought to paint it though. Paint isn't always my first thought - but I think paint was a great idea!!

I know you're not old enough to remember when that song was popular (post title), but I give you big points for knowing your music so well! The tray is great the way you spruced it all up. It does have neat detail. Good find!

That tray is very cute and I like it both ways. Of course you spray painted it. You are with spray paint like I am with glazing. My daughter and I went in a Goodwill store last weekend after the flea market store and she was grossed out, too. She could not wait to leave.

Dearest Debbie,

What a genius idea for transforming that tray the way you did! The supplies were almost more expensive than the object itself...

Great images, looks very neat.

Well, first of all, I love silver anything. I don't care if it is cheap stuff either. I actually put some of my tarnished silver...which looks yellow...on my post for the day. But, I loved the idea of painting it gold. I recently bought a silver tray and the inside was painted with chalk board paint. Great idea too! I also watched your little video and I will be back to check out some more.
