What is a girl to do when it is between Winter, and Valentines day?
She does a little bit of a transition to get ahead start.
I really wanted to make a Winter wreath. Monday while at Walmart I saw everything was on clearance and thought "Oh what can I do"?
I bought these little silver wreath ornaments for 25 cents each, the green large wreath for $2.00. I already had the roses, strawberries and spray snow. So here is what I came up with.
Started with making some winter tags to add to the wreath
Jus t a few red hearts around so far.
Essentially this wreath cost me less than $5.00 to make.
So that is what a girl is to do, start decorating for Valentines day early, and add the winter theme to it.

Hi Debbie!
I live!
That wreath is so stinkin' cutsie!
I, too, stood there in the aisle at my Wal-Mart holding picks and glittery stuff and couldn't figure out what in the world I wanted to do with it all. So, I put it back--ugh.
Oh, well.
I just wasn't feelin' the inspiration. But you did!
Happy New Year! Welcome, Winter!

Love your wreath,I see all this Christmas stuff for sale.I don't like buying for the following year.Storage space and all that.Making this would be fun. Drop by and visit wth me if you like-I would like.
I got that same wreath at Walmart... put it away for next year. Silly me! I love 'winter' decorations and too try to 'fill in' the gap between Christmas and Valentines. Snowmen seem to be popular in my house. But wreaths so interest me. Your turning our fabulous, Debbie!!!
What a great idea Debbie. That is very cute and thrifty too!
Really cute idea, Debbie. I know-it is kind of a transitional period, isn't it? All the glitter and glitz put away and kind of a snow theme...I keep a couple of snowmen out and used to have some wicked white winter wreaths...and got rid of them somewhere along the way. I love the one you did..perfect..and will take you right into Valentine's Day. Hugs-Diana
