How I love doing lampshades.....

It's time for a fun quickie here. We all love a quickie  right?....wrong??maybe??.....You may recall this past year I have been into embellishing lamps. It is the cheapest quick fix to a different look.
Since painting my stools and really having that Country french look, I decided a new lampshade was in order.
First let me take you through a few embellishments, just in case you are new here.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3EFdNZ8TcDwOvciXyXO7VCLDKCFGGPqf4rTBjLzlgi6avHpx2ImSJ1aF28jOebZPdKCLtL-9Y0JQCjM6c99zWG9_ZTYVa6avcx56AP4UKh8clbb6zj-JqKQrit3SkFP3OgxqvlhVUhZEw/s640/100_5297.JPG
This one seemed to be a big Hit during the Fall.

Then we had the Pretty poppy one in the Summer
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPcXML5qLwwiI1iuSuKEwUd24ux9uU3lg2XxjRFhWwC2K4RUbUvfg0L0uFOgiCxbEm4-zb75cCLlcVUAxLHqbLj75OXgTX15KPrypPfzFkSg9iDyWkcUAsoxaQPrETQdxDVTItBlYMaAix/s640/100_3000.JPG
Then there was this crazy one...I still like it though..so I guess that is a good thing
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivowwAI84TPpMBh-CdvKwp1VRKKOQjzDm5x5WQlqpgyUJafLtUlUGtEvZbCvYVNyrbBptclVT42YjQ9RI-1nv4O_5rhVe2YuE_yIA_cHFKxXbbdD8LEsyki3ejKvf07jrBugb4CXTCa_rX/s640/100_2850.JPG
There are a few more, but you get the gist.......So now onto my Recent one.

Pretty self explanatory here. I bought the harlequin ribbon, and black trim half price at Hobby Lobby...also the green rose.
Hot glue gun is my friend.
Pretty fun though to change up a shade for a few bucks and a little bit of time.

How fun. I haven't thought of doing that. I like to decorate all over the place so now there's new ground. Thanks too for all the newbie info. Very kind of you to take the time to spell it all out. I'm sure it is time consuming.

Love the poppy shade. It has a country-modern look to it, which is the look I would like to eventually capture in my home.

That is such a cute and fun lamp, it just screams Debbie!!! I saw at Joann's they now have small lampshades where you remove the paper and they're sticky so you can cover them with whatever you want. I want one!!!

Hi Debbie! Thanks for visiting my lampshade post! What a great idea to dress up a plain shade. I actually have two like this in my living room. I've only done red ribbon tied in a bow at Christmas, but I may have to explore incorporating other colors and patterns.
