My first Spring project a Paint CAN and Newbie party running smoothly now

Newbie Linky party going on strong now. Had some troubles yesterday, but hopefully today all resolved..

Don't ask me how this popped in my head, but today while at Home depot, I saw they sold paint cans empty!
I thought, wow that is all shiny and new.  I picked it up and headed on over to the spray paint section.
Found a new color by Krylon called Avocodo...
I picked up a planter of tulips and off I went.
Perhaps this is not my genius idea, however, I have never seen it before so I will take credit right here and now for my very own planter.
A little Mod podge and some scrap book embellishments

  I am also joining
Tracy for her Bokeh photo party

Cute idea, Debbie...and all I have ever done with them is put paint in them...go figure! Here I could have been decoupaging and painting and making myself a flower can! Now you know you MUST do something crafty with the lid, right? Please don't disappoint me on this!;>)

Hope you get your linky link working~ Which reminds me...I started backing up my blog after reading it could all be lost. Do you know if there is a way to back it up so that the pictures are included-oh great and all knowing Blog Woman! Hugs-Diana

Debbie,
Cool, cool, cool idea!!!! I have bought these before to use for projects for school. For flowers?? GREAT idea!! Are you going to use anything to make holes in the bottom for drainage (I have no green thumb so am never sure what to do about that). Absolutely love this idea!

When I hear you talk about paint and a can I see red...All over your garage! OK, glad to see it was an empty can of paint, now be sure to let us know if you right "grow" on the can if it helps! I think it is a great original idea, plus you can just pick it up by the handle and move it!! Genius!

I saw those cans the other day and really needed one for paint in a can with a lid that won't fit anymore. However, I was too cheap to pay almost $5 for a paint can.

Your new can is cute. I love the color you painted it and the embellishments go with it so well. Best of all, those sunny tulips really do brighten up winter days like these.
