BuNCo
Any of you gals in a Bunco group, or any other kind of outside the home activity with women?
Game Overview
Strictly speaking, Bunco is a game of dice, played in rounds. Players take turns rolling the dice and trying to accumulate as many points as possible to win each round. The game is played at tables of four in competing teams of two.Players score points by rolling three dice and trying to match the number they're supposed to roll for that round. They get a point for each die that rolls the number, and if all three roll the number they score 21 points. They also score 5 points for rolling three of a kind of any other number. They get to keep rolling as long as they score one or more points with each roll. Once they fail to score they pass the dice to their left and the opposing team gets a chance to score.

Some of the ladies here in the retirement park play Bunco but man are they vicious. Glad you guys have fun at it.
My sis plays Bunco. IRL, I don't have that many girlfriends.
We play pitch with our BFFs weekly, and we used to hold a monthly poker game at our house until the kids' sports schedules started interfering with the monthly games. There were points totals accumulated each month for how well you finished compared to the number of people in the tourney. Your top 6 games determined your year end total, and the Player of the Year won a buy-in from each month + an engraved beer stein. I took 2nd in the year end standings 4 yrs in a row before finally winning the stein. Now we just play poker when we can fit a game in.
It sounds like you have a ton of fun even without taking home the pot. Enjoy your evening with the girls!
Hey Deb I know I mentioned before that I play. Our group is 16 and we meet once a month , it's so much fun I love it. Good luck tonight! Martina
Good luck! Our neighborhood used to have several groups of ladies playing Bunco & I was a sub for someone once many years ago. Wouldn't you know, I won that night! I had no idea what I was doing!
You know all about my tennis gals and our get togethers! One of our girls has another group that plays Bunco. At our dinners, we play all kinds of games, cards, dominos, Apples to Apples, etc.
Have fun!
I have been a sub a couple times, but never a continuous group, is a fun game! Hope you win!
I used to be in a Bunco group, it was so much fun. Now I am in a monthly book club which I love just as much.
I've never played but I have an aunt that loves to play! Sounds like fun!♥
I was in a bunco group several years ago. As the kids have gotten older, I don't have a much time! Now, I am only in a book club. We are called the Dixie Divas, and we are famous! (j/k...but there has been a magazine article or two written about us :D )
I had never heard of Bunco. It sounds like a fun group. I am glad I stopped by today to learn something new.
I don't have a Bunco group, but I have a wine group. Ten women and we get together once a month at a different house for wine tasting, eating, talking & laughing. We also go away for a weekend once or twice a year, for more eating, drinking & laughing. Love my wine girlfriends!
I have never played. I hear it is a good time.
We started a bunco group once, but we ended up talking so much that we just turned it into a once a month girls night! Now, that was fun!

I've played Bunco a few times with my PTA friends and it was so much fun! Maybe I should start my own group with some of my girlfriends!
I have friends who are in bunco groups, but I've never played. Sounds like a fun time. Getting together with special friends each month is always a good thing. ~ Sarah
Yea, as I read your blog I am decorating cupcakes for an adoption party so I have my work cut out for me, I am also making all the food. So I think I got off the subject. But have fun.

Fun, Fun!! I'm so glad you do this. I think all women need an outlet like this on a regular schedule so it forces you to get out & about. I play cards almost weekly with a group and it's fun too. We all bring a dish and whatever we want to drink ~ like wine, beer. Hosts have the tea, coffee, etc.

I had no idea so many women played bunco! I love the game and fellowship with good friends. I love it so much I'm in 2 groups!
Thanks girl, just came home...I lost once again, but had fun. Catch up tomorrow. XO
Hey girl! Glad you had a good time! I used to play once a month in my neighborhood, but it really became Drunk-o and was kind of sad! We are trying to start it up in my new neighborhood. It is so fun and so easy! I think it is a great way to get to know people as you always have different partners!
That sounds like fun Debbie!
Enjoy your day,
Gail
I've never heard of Bunco. Not only does it sound like fun, it sounds like it's easy enough for me to attempt! I love the idea of a group getting together to play!
Debbiedoo, that would be fun,(once a month-we should be able to do that), if I lived closer, I'd join in on the fun.
Food,good conversation,good friends,laughing and playing games,WHO WOULDN'T LIKE THAT?
I'm thankful for the well wishes and the tulips from yesterday

I love Bunco. I'm getting ready to start up again. We have different theme nights and things like slumber bunco where we dress up in pjs. Just to make it a little more fun.
