BuNCo

http://www.eaglelandingonline.com/files/pages/calendar/bunco.jpg
Some of you may have heard of bunco, and some not.
I have been in a bunco group now for a couple of years.
12 women meet once a month, for food, drinks and a little
game play.
Cost $5.00 to play, and you can win a pretty good pot at the end.
I will tell you this..
I have never WON!
we have fun though.
Honestly, I would say if you can get about 10 women together on a monthly basis, you should start your own
Bunco group.
It is a funn filled night.
Each gal brings a treat or snack to share.

Now if I were really creative I would whip these up....
instead I whipped this up, which I have shared in the past.  Angel food strawberries and whip cream, YUMMY!
Did I mention I usually don't eat dinner this night, as there is so much food this night.

Wish me Luck!
Any of you gals in a Bunco group, or any other kind of outside the home activity with women?

Game Overview

Strictly speaking, Bunco is a game of dice, played in rounds. Players take turns rolling the dice and trying to accumulate as many points as possible to win each round. The game is played at tables of four in competing teams of two.
Players score points by rolling three dice and trying to match the number they're supposed to roll for that round. They get a point for each die that rolls the number, and if all three roll the number they score 21 points. They also score 5 points for rolling three of a kind of any other number. They get to keep rolling as long as they score one or more points with each roll. Once they fail to score they pass the dice to their left and the opposing team gets a chance to score.

My sis plays Bunco. IRL, I don't have that many girlfriends.

We play pitch with our BFFs weekly, and we used to hold a monthly poker game at our house until the kids' sports schedules started interfering with the monthly games. There were points totals accumulated each month for how well you finished compared to the number of people in the tourney. Your top 6 games determined your year end total, and the Player of the Year won a buy-in from each month + an engraved beer stein. I took 2nd in the year end standings 4 yrs in a row before finally winning the stein. Now we just play poker when we can fit a game in.

It sounds like you have a ton of fun even without taking home the pot. Enjoy your evening with the girls!

You know all about my tennis gals and our get togethers! One of our girls has another group that plays Bunco. At our dinners, we play all kinds of games, cards, dominos, Apples to Apples, etc.
Have fun!

I don't have a Bunco group, but I have a wine group. Ten women and we get together once a month at a different house for wine tasting, eating, talking & laughing. We also go away for a weekend once or twice a year, for more eating, drinking & laughing. Love my wine girlfriends!

We started a bunco group once, but we ended up talking so much that we just turned it into a once a month girls night! Now, that was fun!

Fun, Fun!! I'm so glad you do this. I think all women need an outlet like this on a regular schedule so it forces you to get out & about. I play cards almost weekly with a group and it's fun too. We all bring a dish and whatever we want to drink ~ like wine, beer. Hosts have the tea, coffee, etc.

Hey girl! Glad you had a good time! I used to play once a month in my neighborhood, but it really became Drunk-o and was kind of sad! We are trying to start it up in my new neighborhood. It is so fun and so easy! I think it is a great way to get to know people as you always have different partners!

Food,good conversation,good friends,laughing and playing games,WHO WOULDN'T LIKE THAT?

I'm thankful for the well wishes and the tulips from yesterday
(I was swimming with the dolphins). It was a good day except rained all day and night, but glad you got together with your bud's.
And had some fun.

I love Bunco. I'm getting ready to start up again. We have different theme nights and things like slumber bunco where we dress up in pjs. Just to make it a little more fun.
