Chalk paint giveaway and my chalk paint projects.

I am just busting at the seams to share this with you all...
By now, most of you have seen and have heard  all the rage with the Annie sloan Chalk paint!
First I want to share with you  a few of my recent projects.
I would love to paint every stitch of furniture with this awesome paint.
No priming, no sanding,(prior to application) just start painting and watch the magic happen. The distressing part is so much fun and easy too. The paint comes off in a powder form. 220 grit fine sandpaper works great!
BEST paint on the market for painting furniture
    •    Paint can be used on any surface- literally!
    •    Use on walls- for a soft matte effect or wax it for a polished plaster effect
    •    Can even be used to paint floors
    •    Paint can be applied to interior or exterior surfaces and furnishings

Guest room makeover, nightstand and headboard all done in duck egg blue.
cont...this is the night stand in the guest room.
Color is cream and as you can see it is a very pale warm yellow.
I did two pieces in our bedroom , and then I off set one piece to tie in with my curtains. I love how well the two shades compliment one another.
Again, duck egg blue

And here you can see the other night stand in our bedroom.
Still had some duck egg blue so I used it on this thrift chair.
NOW onto the giveaway....
This is just a collage to show you how well the two colors blend in the room with the curtains....To see my projects in full

Master bedroomHERE
All the pieces took two coats, then I used the clear wax, buffed and sanded to my liking.

My friend Patty, a stockist for chalk paint,
is offering one of my readers a quart of paint, a tin of wax, Hand Painted Color Chart, and the Quick and  Easy Paint Transformations Book by Annie Sloan.
Here is Patty's website to browse around and get an idea of what colors you would like.

Wow, this is really a very generous give-away! Thank you for hosting this, Debbie!

I am DYING to use this paint, it sounds beyond perfect for several projects I want to get started on.

A month or so ago, I became the newest owner of a very vintage (1930s-40s?) armoire that is to die for. At the top of it, it features two small oval Limoges medallions painted with Fraggonard-inspired romatic scenes *swoon!*. It's been (badly) painted (a really dull shade of) white, and is calling out to be spiffed up.

I'd love to re-paint it Old White with Louis Blue accents, which would pull out the beautiful blues in the medallions. The inside is still wood-finish, but the armoire is not heirloom quality or too precious, so I would LOVE to give it a surprise pop of color by painting the inside Duck Egg Blue! I realize the give-away is for 1 quart of paint, so I would definitely have to supplement that with 2 more, but the give-away would be a fabulous start to this project (and I'd LOVE to pore over Annie Sloan's book)!

I'm your newest follower, can't wait to explore your blog!

Best,

Kimberly
