Color, texture, stay or go?

First off thanks for the many congratulations, regarding our publication in Country Woman magazine!~
So much fun it was indeed.
 Now onto this post....
I am not one into table cloths.  At one time, I loved them, and lace ones no less.
Now I like table runners and placemats.
Of course, as you know color is key for me.
Now that I finally have valances I like, it is hard to find the right table runner to go with, or should I say compliment.
Today I went to Marshall's to buy a friend a birthday gift.  Well she got one, and I got two...
even though my birthday is over.
I deserve it RIGHT? RIGHT, thank you...
I don't shop that much these days..too busy on this dang computer.
How about this score for 12.99 at Marshalls, including the bottles...I almost walked away from it, then I thought, I know what I can do with it.

I love my faux flowers and apples from PIER I..that is the only place I like to get the faux's.
I mentioned color and texture.  Well here it is.  As you can see I am very much drawn to these colors...
These are the same colors in the valances.  I think it is a nice compliment..paisley and check? Sure why not..

As you can see I did not place this table cloth the traditional way.  I layered it on each side.
It just looked too perfect the other way, I hate perfect.

I still have to iron it, because I HATE wrinkles too..
but before I took that time to do that, I have to see if I can live it with it.

Should it stay or should it GO?

Well, I guess I will be the Devil's advocate here. While I really like the tablecloth I am not in LOVE with it in your setting. It's nice but...hmmm...well,, when I look at the room my eyes zero right in to it because it is so different from the surrounding pieces/fabrics. However, maybe that is your intent? And..I don't think colors run true in pictures either so it might be just that. But...that is just me...you can slap me silly when you see me~ xo Diana

Hi Debbie...

I am the same way any more...I usually do runners and placemats instead of a tablecloth. But...I really do like this pretty tablecloth that you found, my friend! It goes perfectly with your colors, valance, and dining room! I think it offers a nice change!

I just adore the wicker carrier and bottles! I would love to find one like that...and it was a great price too! Great finds, my friend! Thank you for sharing them with us today! You know...I just adore your dining room...it really IS GORGEOUS!!!

Warmest summery wishes, sweet lady!

The chairs really make the matching color in the tablecloth pop. LOVE how the apples also match the top of the chairs.
I like florals with stripes, paisly with plaids, and varied textures as well.
Keep it. It looks nice, Debbie.

I would have brought home the wicker holder too. Totally love the tablecloth...but I'm a fabric lover and there's nothing better than a great floral in my opinion! I think it looks divine. You could always cut some of the tablecloth off and make a pillow for the other end chair...I love the way you have a pillow on one of them. Regardless, it's a change and it didn't cost very much. Well done!

Debbie,
I love the tablecloth. Is it Waverly? I am a Wavery nut! I sometimes turn my tablecloths in the diamond shape and layer with a smaller one on top. Kind of cute :) Anyway, I had to tell you that I dreamt last night I was in my favorite shop and I ran into you. We were happy to meet each other. I went back to buy some king size yellow RL sheets and you had scooped them up. We must have the same taste in dreamland, lol!
