{Halloween decorating} Newbie party started!

By the end of October you surely will be sick of my Halloween decor!
But that's OK, then we get into another Holiday and there is  more fun to be had decorating.
I have ONE more Halloween post after this, and that is it! YAY for you.
You remember my Owl?
Well....
He had to get creepified around him...

It was pretty easy this year transition into Halloween with the Fall decor already out and about.

I had to make something new as well...check it out.
Can you spare a buck? I am betting you can...

{I had this banner last year on our mantel..I changed out the banner this year and you will soon see that.}

Now let me tell you the quick story of this Mr. Owl graphic from the Graphics fairy.

I bought this pitiful picture from the dollar tree.
Yes it is cheap and looks and feels every bit of it.
HOWEVER, I loved the background surrounding the palm {or whatever plant that is} picture,
and had a light bulb moment.

I thought I would paint the frame mustard yellow, add a little wax, distress it, and then mod podge the graphic
right over the pic!

The idea worked like a charm!
I told you I can spread a buck a long way.

Mike noticed it last night and actually said, that's a pretty cool picture.
I told him I made it up...surprise, surprise!

Lucy likes it too!'
I really hate that my cords are sticking out.  I had a plant there covering them, but of course, it was in rough shape and I moved it to hopefully bring it back to life.

You really do know how to stretch a dollar! I always forget about those dollar tree stores for some reason. They probably are a great source for crafting things! Just one week left of Halloween decorations. I can't believe that Christmas decorations will be going up in about a month!

Debbie, thanks so much for sharing your Halloween decor and tips! Those dollar stores can be little gems, if you know what to do with their merchandise! And, you, my dear, most certainly do! Thanks for sharing your ideas and hosting this great party!

The owl picture looks great and kind of spooky. Like that banner, too. I tried to leave a comment earlier on the craft post, but it wouldn't take. Those houses had some great idea. I wish I had made it down there to visit. The picture you took of your hubby and son are so like my family photos, except w/ teenage girls, you get the eye roll, too. Your youngest son looked like he was the only one ok w/ you taking the picture. LOL!

Halloween is more popular here in Hong Kong. Love the festive mood in fall. Pumpkins are the main decoration. Inspired by your blog I've put in the corner of my garden a little pumpkin. Your decoration is very festive. Everything is delightful.

I'll bet you never knew this was the first time I used Mr Lindy ??? I haven't a clue what I did to get all those pictures. Sorry if I messed up the program.
It's only 3 am and I have been at this all night. It really should be very simple, and it is. Someone should have yelled, "STOP".
Debbie, I hope this can be fixed for you.
