Pottery Barn inspired Master Bedroom {Shabby chic style}

Well, I did not do much in terms of changing up our bedroom this season.  I am loving the white still so much, in spite of the black dog hair, husband, and even the boys who love to hop on with the dog...I am OK with it all!
I did see a picture in the Pottery barn catalog that inspired me.
It inspired me to add some more layers and pillows...

I adored the Cynthia Rowley pillows and green coverlet that I used for our guest bedroom in the summer.

This fuzzy blue throw I have had for years, Lucy adores it too.

I thought this combo really would not make sense...
but with the curtains, I think it does, and I really like it.

Pardon the pics, as the flash had to be on today.  This room tends to be dark as we butt up against the woods, very little sunlight...

I had this Fall pillow for years...

So there you have it, I layered, and popped some green in here.
{flash on}
It works for me, and I did not go out and buy a new comforter....
NOT yet, anyhow.

I believe...layering added the warmth for the cooler season ahead.

Oh and the mirror vignette I showed you yesterday...this is across from the bed.

Thanks for stopping by and your sweet encouraging comments.
I am looking through all the fabulous newbie links, and I am blown away by you girls, your talents and all your enthusiasm.

Pops of color can make such a difference. Looks warm and cozy, Debbie. I like the layering. With our touch of chilly weather this past week in the midwest, I've been layering myself, and the bed.

I really like the look of layers on a bed any time of year. It just makes it more inviting. Your layering will pay off at night when the temperature drops. I think it's fine to use white all year round (especially in the south). Looks great!

How inspiring to use things that you already have to add color, texture, and depth to the room!!! Anyone can go out and shop for new accessories but it really that's a innovative person to step back and really use what they already have in a new and exciting way. Way to go girl!

Love the looks.... both of them. AND your bed... do you happen to know the brand? Place of purchase? I have an iron bed now and LOVE it, but we're going to move on to a king size bed and that will, obviously, necessitate the purchase of a new headboard/footboard.... LOVE yours!

Have a great weekend,
