Antique, vintage colander lights! new and old

I went GA GA over this project.  How about this antique, vintage colander light?
You can use old or new colanders to create this project.
Funny thing about this light, is I saw one just like it recently at an antique mall.
I stopped dead in my tracks and said to Mike, LOOK how cool is that!?

So one of the newbs {Dumped and discovered} {full tutorial here} from my newbie party had linked up her latest and greatest project.
That very same week I saw one.

An old colander turned light fixture!
They did a great job!

They bought a simple light fixture kit from Lowes hardware.

And well, yes the rest is history...

C A Y U T E!

I meant CUTE, just stressed it!

How about lit up at night?

I have to say I really want one now...hmmmm...wonder what Mike will say?

Go check out Dumped and Discovered for some more awesome projects!

Have a great day everyone!
THERE is still time to get in on the 'Giani granite paint giveaway!

I think that's adorable! This is the second really cute project that I've seen this week using a light kit from Lowes.

Now, I'm trying to figure out where I want to pull out an old fixture around here and do something fun and creative.

You are right. It's CAYUTE. I knew just the word you were talking about. Nothing better than stressing a word. Like A-DOOR-A-BLE....
