Abstract art {please do not laugh}

Ok, so I have told ya'll before I am no Picasso!
We know this, obviously.  However, I decided to try my hand at some abstract painting.
A few friends and I thought it would be a fun night out.  There was  a groupon online for buy one get one.
OK, I am in.

I knew going into it, it would be a fun night regardless of the art outcome.
It was a small little art place close to home.
Hey, you could even bring your own wine or beer if you would like.
We did indulge in one.

The instructor was great...forgot her name and forgot to take a picture.
I guess I was very intent on learning, can't you tell?

The instructor had a painting in mind, that we were "suppose" to interpret and do ourselves with her teaching of course.
Interesting to see how we all certainly had our own twist, and did not follow the rules whatsoeva!

Very pretty...but who is thinking snow right now?

Can you guess who's is yellow?

We certainly did not have any fun!

we had a BLAST! I can't wait to do it again....

In the eyes of my 10 year old, he thought I was an artist...poor kid has no clue.
As you can see I need to take the class again, again, and again.

I am no Picasso indeed, I stand true to my word!
Debbiedoosdaisydoodles, that is what one of the gals called my flowers, was that a compliment?
Ok sure it was!
Happy Saturday everyone!

Your painting is great! I have done 6 of those "follow the leader" paint classes over the last year. I love them but they get expensive. It's the most fun with a group of about 8 girlfriends, beverage of choice and nibbles. My favorites are my 2 oil paintings...the colors are so vibrant! Hoping to do another class soon!

Looks like you all followed the instructions to the letter! To be creative. It was amazing to me when I took painting classes and the teacher would say, "OK, we're all going to paint 'this'. These are the colors to buy before class, this is the size canvas, which brushes, yada yada." And, just as you all did, we all looked at her painting, and when she said, "We're all here to have fun!" That's about all it took for us to go on our merry way to creativity!

I mean, just as you all did, we followed the rules, we followed some basics - a few, well maybe just a couple, OK one - we all cleaned our brushes!

We had a blast and all felt as proud! I love the Debbiedoosdaisydoodles! You've just got to keep the name, make a name tag!

Great job,
Donna

IMHO, Picasso painted dark and depressing things...you would NEVER be like him! :-) I took art lessons for a bit after retirement and one lesson we had to do a Picasso woman ~ not my style at all.

You know I love the color you used and yes, it's the best one of the group! Glad you had fun and yes, the other girls did great too.
