Well aren't you clever! Cute idea & it looks great.
Ha Ha! My neighbor's are always scratching their heads. It started over 25 years ago when we painted our home a grey~beige. There was much ado...but a few knock offs popped up in the blocks around the corners.
Your valance is wonderful!

Good idea! I get it...clothespins...laundry room...and I haven't even had a full cup of coffee yet!

Very cute, and I love the clothes pins with it. I think it is the perfect look for a laundry room. Just started following by Linkey also:)
Love the idea. I'm so into burlap at the moment. I have a few projects coming up using some.
well dang, how cute is that..
I inherited 25 yards of burlap and still havent found a use for it.
Very cute, I love burlap!
Perfectly rustic for a laundry room.
Love the burlap curtain. I did snoop around. Sorry.
That is too cute. The jute and clothespins really make it!! There is no fear of my neighbors thinking I'm nuts because they already do! Actually, quite literally, within a week of painting my kitchen cabinets (the FIRST TIME...we had a flood and before all the doors were put back on, they went for a swim in our basement, and had to be redone!), I met my neighbor across the street, and when I told him what I had done, he said, "You're nuts!", or was it "You're crazy!"?, hmmm...can't remember which phrase, but who's kidding who, they both mean the same thing, lol!
Those are very cute!
Very clever idea using rice bags, looks wonderful.
Gotta love burlap and your curtains are so cute! I'm working with some burlap today too...in the dining room. Enjoy your day, Gail
I have a rice bag on my desk now. I think mine might become a pillow, because I can sew so well (NOT!).
You're neighbors are probably jealous.
~Bliss~
cute Debbie! always soooo cute your ideas!
Love it, looks adorable!
Cute and easy.I LOVE it.
Cute! Tell the neighbors to close their eyes when they drive by...wait..that might not be such a grat idea! xo Diana
Ummm..that would be GREAT idea...I should slow down and spell check!
What a great idea Debbie! It looks so cute and who cares what the neighbors think:) I'm sure mine must say what are they up to now, plenty of times!
PS-- I was being noisy so hurry up with the reveal:)
what a great idea looks so cute love the new paint color too
Such a cute and pretty idea! I love the clothes pins! Sorry, I snooped also! Love the blue color on the walls! Can't wait to see your whole laundry room! Who cares about the neighbors! One of mine still has her Christmas tree on her window with the lights on every night! Now, that's something to shake your head about! Somebody needs to tell her tomorrow is March 1st! LOL
Your burlap valance is so cute, can't wait for the full reveal! ~Marcy
If I was your neighbor, I wouldn't be thinking what the heck is that! I would know what it was awesome!!!
I'd be signing myself up for the next valance C:
LOL ... funny girl. Don't worry, our neighbors shake their heads at us all the time! And, I love the burlap valance (and, how you layered a cute clothes pin line, too).
Love it Debbie! The twine and clothes pins are perfect!
Debbie this is a super cute and easy idea! I love it!! Hugs, Linda
Burlap Curtains?? I thought you were always awesome but now I believe you are a true genius.
I think the neighbors are shaking their heads saying, "Why didn't I think of that?" -- adorable!
Yep, I'm pretty sure the neighbors are lovin' it and planning to make one, too. It's cute as can be.....
That turned out really cute in there. Of course, I was peeking around at the rest of the room too. The color of the burlap looks pretty against your wall color.
Very cute, Debbie!
I was very good and didn't peek.
I do think it's a great idea, and I like the writing showing from the other side. It gives it character!
What a cute idea, Debbie!
Hi Debbie,
So adorable!!! I love the added twine and clothes pins.
Dee
Hi Debbie, good ideas here, however it is not my cup of tea. You never cease to amaze me with your creativity.
I love it . The burlap and clothespins looks great. My neighbors are scratching their heads with all the crazy furniture they see me drag in and drag out!
that's ok someone has to entertain them.
Cute Debbie!!
It's good to keep those neighbors guessing isn't it? At least your life isn't boring... RIGHT! Have a great week & enjoy your new curtains.
Charlene
I actually like the writing on the burlap. That's a great look.
That embellishment looks like it's been there forever. Great!
Have you ever thought about sending a video into the Nate Berkus show for the segment, "House Proud"?
You should do it!!
I love the burlap valence, Debbie!!
I made similar curtains for a place we rented about 20 years ago, out of burlap coffee bean bags. The company no longer is around sadly, or I'de make some again now that you have reminded me how cool they look. The burlap was quite a bit heavier then the rice bags. I used hot glue to make the hems and rod pockets. The little house had been a camp turned into a home, with pine walls and ceiling beams so the burlap curtains went very well in the windows that covered the whole front wall of the place. Gee, now I miss that cozy little place. Thanks for posting your idea. Brings back many good memories.
Those burlap valences are so cute. I really like how they look in your laundry room and the clothes pins are the perfect touch.
