From one pet lover to another, a special request!

As you know, I signed off for the weekend on Thursday evening.  

Well,  last evening I received an email asking for my help and to share a special story.

 After reading the story, it touched my heart.

Meet Leo!

A rescued dog with a very bad injury that requires surgery, a very expensive surgery.

Ballard

Mike and I are going antiquing today! YAY...I love when he is off and he wants go do something fun that we both enjoy.

Have you girls seen the recent Ballard catalog?

I spied this cool dog food container, but for 59.00 plus tax and shipping, 

No way Josey'!

So I decided I would make my own!

This white one was my original inspiration...

 Started with a paint tub...cheap like 5.00!

Primed it first, because my first intention was to make a pretty pale lemon color.

First FLOP, it looked terrible.

So I had some chalk board paint on hand...

Ok that is looking a bit better...

Well I think I went overboard now...I could not just have DOG food on it...

Even Lucy looks a bit confused...Now whatcha doing Mom?

Back to her original vignette.
The painting was a gift from a friend..I miss her, she had to move back to Germany, but I have this special piece made with love from her.

Beatrice has arrived!

Meet Beatrice! My Mom's new spoiled little Morkie! What is a Morkie? It is a Yorkie Maltese mix.

Beatrice went through a lot to get to Western New York.  She flew in from Kansas.  Just to get to the airport was  a 4 hour drive.

By the time she arrived in the arms of my Mom...Beatrice was in pretty rough shape.

Let me just say she did not look like the cutie pie she was on line!

Well in no time did my Mom whip her back into cuteness.

Beatrice has a better wardrobe than most! You know after all she is a designer POOCH!

My Mom is doing such a fantastic job of training Beatrice too! 

I do believe Beatrice is becoming the little Diva of the household.

You see my Mom has a cat too, Meet Cali!

Cali is a bit of a princess too! Cali is not that sociable. In fact every time we visit we have Lucy with us, and Cali is not seen all week.

She did not take to well to Having Bea around, but I think she is getting used to it now.

Back to Diva girl....

It's Kinda sad because I think Beatrice really is lacking with toys...

One just was not good enough for her...Bea has taken over the kitchen.
My Mom said she loves her morning routine. She goes out, comes in gets brushed and dressed for the day.  She loves all her outfits, she even sticks her little head in the holes like she knows what she is doing.
Beatrice weighs all of 7 lbs.

Oh did I mention she has UGG boots.... yeah they didn't fit so well...
Beatrice also goes just about everywhere now with my Mom...my Mom has her in a cute little tote bag, and you don't even know she is there.

 But she did go potty regardless!

Beatrice was the initial motivating factor for the pet partay.

Lucy, you have some esplainin' to do!

I will not bore you with the details of how we came about getting Lucy, because I tend to ramble.  I will tell you she had a brother and I really wanted him too. My plan was to have Desi and Lucy...as you can see there is no Desi.

Lucy is a pug, she is 4 years old. 

She is the love of our life.

The boys take such good care of her.

She is a Daddy's girl, BIG time!

What does Lucy do all day...SLEEP!

She works hard, doing nothing, but sleeping, snoring and dreaming.

So you ready for the partay? Lucy is excited...
Oh Lucy, Lucy...where are you?

There you are...little girl you need to get out of Mommy's bed so I can make it.  You have a big day today, no time for sleeping.

Now Mommy you know I hate a tub, what is all this nonsense about?

Well if you give me a tub, am I going to get  treat too?

Now that is finger licking good!

And what's this I get a new toy too?

I love her, thank you and pink is my favorite color.....

But seriously Mom, a new sweater too?

Can you atleast get one that fits next time?

Gosh I need a diet.

Let's get it on.....................


On one more note. The motivation for this party was my Mom's new Morkie, Beatrice. Beatrice is flying in from Kansas tomorrow afternoon.  I will make a special feature debut just for her later on.

LUCY!

Lucy would like to remind all her new furry friends, reptiles alike, that she is having a big Shin dig at her pad on Monday.

Tomorrow Lucy is spending the day for grooming, you know she is such a high maintenance dog, that a day at the Spa tub at home, will do her good.

I'm a little shy, but I'll get over it.  See you then.

This is going to be FUN!

You all made it pretty evident, that you love your pets! 

We want to all show them off don't we? 

So that we will, On January 24th I will have Mr. Linky up. I really look forward to this.

By then my Mom ought to have a hundred pictures of her little Beatrice too. Any pet qualifies for this party, even your pet SNAKE!

Perhaps if the Linky party goes well, I will host one once a Month.  Our pets are always doing something to surprise us, and make us smile, so why NOT share it with the world?

Long ago Kim from Savvy Southerner was thinking about party ideas, and we were bouncing ideas off each other, I do believe this was one of them.  In the meantime I gave her the Before and After party, and  seeing my Mom is getting a new puppy, it was the perfect time to think about a new Party.

A MORKIE?

My Mom is in the process of getting a new puppy. Her name is Beatrice and she is a Morkie. 
That is a mix of Yorkie and Maltese. Well if she not the darndest cutest thing ever? Beatrice is going to be very, very spoiled. I know, I can say that, just look at me? It's all my Mom's fault.

Morkies are the new celebrity dogs now. My Mom did not even know that, but now that she does, Beatrice is going to be even more spoiled.  I believe my Mom even is buying her a car seat, yep you heard me, a car seat, because you know if you stop short or something. Here are some pictures I found of Morkies.  There is an actual picture of her but now I can't find it.  She is flying in from Kansas on Thursday.

They are just adorable, and I can't wait to meet her.

I am betting my Mom may send out Morkie cards next Christmas.

 

We are  very excited for my Mom. I think a new puppy is fantastic for her. Anyone who has a pet knows how much we fall in Love.

I know my Mom is going to want to show off Beatrice, so I am thinking perhaps next week or thereafter sometime of doing a SHARE your PET linky party.  What do you think?
