Calling all NEWBIES..party on
I can't sew for nothing!
I started with my square, which I used a slip cover from another pillow as my template Canvas came from Walmart, however you can get paint canvases of course at Home depot and Lowes as well. |
I then used stencil tape to create one wide stripe, then I painted it with a craft paint, you can also see my kitchen recipe stencil I have taped here as well. STENCIL came from Hobby lobby. |
I took my iron and put it on steam and ironed across each section carefully. |
I love how neat the stenciling came out too. I used a very small artist brush for the stenciling part and did my words randomly |
I tied the bottoms with some twine as the pillow was too fat and I could not pull it together to use the stitch witchery.
From just one paint canvas, I could probably make 10 pillows.
I must get busy.
Thanks so much for stopping by and all your sweet bloggy love.

Debbie you are kidding!! Only you can do that without sewing! That is the cutest pillow. Maybe I need to try stitch witchery instead of trying to locate the sewing machine! Hey we color people have to stick together, lol! I crave the blue wall color Pat at BPM has in her dining room, but I have nothing that color. Some day...
Love your pillows and love the fact that you didn't have to sew them even better. I'm linking up to the newbie party. Thanks so much for doing this!

Debbie! Your pillow looks great! You are so talented that I'll bet you would be a great seamstress with just a little bit of practice...especially to do straight seams like the pillow! However, this is wonderful for a non-sewn pillow! Great looking-artsy with Pottery Barn glam! A winner!!! xxoo Diana
I am a new follower! Thanks for the party... I need to make some new pillows to spruce up my outdoor sitting area, these are so cute!

Love the pillow Debbie! That's my kind of sewing! I will have to add this to my to do list. I have a couple of pillows I want to make but the lack of a sewing machine was holding me back. I would love to make one similar to yours for the bench in my kitchen.
