Thanks for inviting me over here Debbie! I am glad you have stepped out here to do this!

I have really good friends that even if we drift apart for awhile we can always pick back up at any point in our lives without missing a beat and no hard feelings. As for best girl friends that you share everything with and talk to all the time, well I don't have any of them but part of that is because it is hard for me to let that wall down! My husband would be best friend!...Bonnie

So awesome to hear you have a blog! Special friendships...my very best friend is my husband. Special friendship, now that has been one of the most unexpected things that came from signing up for RMS, all the wonderful people and the friendships that have stemmed from it.

Debbiedoos, this is an awesome sight! Love the historical sites. Where in Western NY are you from? My husband and I went to Alfred U. He is a Finger Lakes guy and I am, originally, an Orange County gal (yes, home of the OC Choppers).

I had a great best friend throughout the latter part of high school but, she ended up losing her mind and I haven't talked to her for years...The last time I saw her she was dressed in a vinyl skirt that was neon green and a some kind of jacket that was 2 sizes too small for her body. I felt so bad for her as I know her mom was terminally ill back when we were friends. I miss her and wish I knew where she was and how she is holding up in life. I had mostly guy friends outside of Jereen...Girls can be so difficult to get along with sometimes so, being the tomboy I am, I just clicked with the guy crowd:-) Thanks for starting this blog Debbie. My sons (also 12 and 8) want to meet your boys; I showed them their pics:-) Still trying to get mine uploaded...so far it is taking more than an hour:-( I will persevere!!!

My true name is Sarah but, have had the "Tomboy" nickname since forever:-) Either name is fine by me! Thanks for the words of encouragement...I have many close family members who run the gammit as far as mental illness goes. That is probably why it is so heartbreaking that my best friend was suffering so intensely.

I'm like Betty, my best friend is my husband. We will celebrate our 35th anniversary on 2-22. Boy, I feel old.lol I had several best friends growing up and my dad would get transferred to a new place about every three years so I would always have to say good bye. That was always so hard to do. Now as an adult I don't have a best girl friend just family members or other friends that we sometimes to out with, but not that close girl friend. I am close to my sister now even though we are nine years apart. We email and get together for lunch and shopping now and then and my mom, too sometimes. My family isn't real close like some. My husband's family is very close. He is one of ten children. Both his parents and three siblings have passed on. In fact I never had the pleasure of knowing his mother because she passed away when he was fifteen from cancer. His dad lived to be ninety-six and passed away just a few years ago. My husband still has five living sisters and one brother. Everyone lives in this area except his brother and his wife retired to Fla. They will come back if the realestate market ever turns around and they can sell their house. They are tired now of not being close to family. Not so great down there without family I guess.

I have lived in a couple of different areas.
My Top Pick would have to be Pat. She was there through High School, my firat marriage, the birth of my children and had open arms when it all collapsed in divorce.
We have been out of touch for awhile now....our lifes took different paths. But I will always love and admire her.

Yes, My best friend is Gina. We met in the 4th grade and have been BFF's ever since. She and her family moved back home to the Boston area in junior high but we still kept in contact all these years. We have visited her several times through the years and her family comes to Ohio for visits. It's always fun for us to go out there because then we get to visit other places close to her like Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod. She's the one that made me try lobster with the head still on it! Ugh.. We always have a lobster fest when we visit now. That's her specialty. I miss her but with the modern day of texting & the internet we stay in constant contact :)

My best friend in the world is my husband. He is my everything. We have a beautiful daughter together who is 8 and she is OUR everything! This June we will be married 17 years. My husband and I met in the 9th grade and have been together ever since. My best girlfriend is Tina, we have been friends for about 14 years now. We met working as CNA's at a Nursing home. She lives about 2 hours from me now, but we still talk at least 5 times a week! We know everything about each other and aren't afraid to share anything with each other. She's been my friend through good and bad in my life and I cherish what we have!

My best friend of course is my husband. We are very close and share everything. My best gal friend is my cousin,Jeannie. We practically grew up together and have always been close. Five years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The same thing that took my Mother's life. I was devastated and afraid I would loose her too.She had her surgery and thank God is now cancer free. I don't know what I would do without her. We talk every day and she just lives on the street behind me. We go to the same church and I sing in a trio with her and her husband. That's my best friend!!!

My husband of 15 years next week is my bestest bestest friend ever. I don't know what I would do without him. He is my rock. I have been blessed to have several girls that I can actually call best friend. There is Chris who I have been friends with since birth since our grandmothers were best friends. She has been with me through EVERYTHING! I have a best friend who I taught with for 5 years and now lives in London. I miss her dreadfully! We chat often and try to vacation together every two years. We went to Spain two years ago and now we are all meeting up in Paris next month! I have my soul sister, Michelle, who is my best friend from my time living in Michigan. We were always together and I admire her and her family. She is my role model and mentor. I am a very blessed woman to have the friends I do!
