Sunflowers, and spiders ah ha!

According to "TeleFlora", The sunflower is the 3rd wedding anniversary flower and the state flower of Kansas.. Sunflowers turn to follow the sun and their open faces symbolize the sun itself, conveying warmth and happiness, adoration and longevity! So, if the person you are buying them for is a cheerful, happy go lucky, "ray" of sunshine, the sunflower is a perfect gift and a thoughtful one as well!

Now that Fall will be fast approaching...I am thinking of all new kinds of fun ideas for my Fall decorating. However one of the simplest things to do, is spread some beautiful sunflowers around your home. Here are some pictures from last year I thought I would share.
While I am at it, I will share just a few snippets of last years Fall and Halloween FUN!~ You gals may as well get used to seeing Fall decor from me, because I am fixin to be in that mode very soon.

I sooooo can't wait!

I love sunflowers and almost always grow them in my garden (except this year when I grew nothing in my garden).

I grew up in Kansas and they are indeed the state flower and wild sunflowers are common and sometimes when a field lies fallow it will come up in the spring full of sunflowers.

Debbie, I love sunflowers. They are so cheery! I really love the ones that have been dyed where they turn red-orange and the stems are purple!

Hello Dear Heart!! I got your comments on my blog this morning and when I hit publish(yours and another's) it didn't publish yours? I went back and it wasn't in my comment box, so I am not sure what happened? Anyhow, I appreciate your words, and how terrible about Jack's cursive! As if cursive isn't bad enough(I was always a C student in that), but to have a crappo teacher sucks worse. Hopefully his teacher this year is up for the challenge and is good too! Have fun helping with the writing! Love ya!

I'm totally ready for fall decorating. It seems I really never decorated for summer, unless you count 4th of July. But since then, nothing. I am growing sun flowers in my garden for the first time. I did notice that they change directions in order to face the sun. And thanks for visiting my blog & wishing me happy birthday.
