Easy Peasy Before and After

This one is pretty self explanatory....
I have had this Letter B in my BOYS Bathroom and thought I would change the color....It was black

Now wasn't that easy and fun? YES, SAY YES!!~
Well it does not stop there.  One thing I hate about some of the newer bathrooms is the large builder grade mirrors.  Now you can rip them down, which in turn will cause wall damage, then you have to drywall and paint all over again.  The boys bathroom was the last to have the mirrors not finished with molding. This weekend hubs was OFF and he actually said he would do this project for me. YAY! I love it when I do not have to beg. So here is how it went down.

First we measured the mirror. THen a trip to Home depot to buy the already primed molding. We also bought medallions to go in each corner...for one thing it makes cutting easier, you just do a straight cut.  A quick coat of white spray paint. We USED two sided tape. it was industrial type, and AWESOME! We have used the glue in the past, and not an easy quick dry I might add. The cost of both mirrors was $50.00 total there are TWO mirrors this size. I am so happy to be done with builders mirrors.  You too can do this project, even you gals on your own, it really was that easy. You can acutally cut the wood at Home depot, or Lowes.

Just a reminder this Wedenesday is my Before and After party. Also are any of you gals up for a bad craft party?
Come on I know you have one...IF NOT go ahead and make one. I think it would be fun to share our disasters. Marla and I sure got lots of laughs over our hilarious pumpkins, in fact her husband even got in on the laughter.
Let me know what you think, and I will set it up for next week sometime.

Looks fantastic Debbie! I love the "B" painted blue! Much more fun than what we did this weekend- we started on the front yard irrigation system!

Deb, it all looks great. We have those darn mirrors, too. We added trim to Brooke's old room bathroom mirror with regular trim. Our bathroom has the beveled mirror frame. I wish I had decorative mirrors instead, but like you said that means replacing sheetrock.

The mirror looks a whole lot better and finished. I hate those builder mirrors too, would it kill them to add molding? lol

The "B" looks better too; easy rocks!

Cute B too.

Yay! comments are working for me! I love what you did with the paint, that "B" is so clever and I love the color you chose. And framing those mirrors makes such an impact! Well done my dear!

I like what you did to the "B". I, too, have had issues with the standard mirrors. We've redone one bathroom the hard way. My winter project is removing wallpaper in the second bathroom and then facing that big mirror. You make it sound so easy. I hope it works for me.

Love the "B" ... great jog! And, I really LOVE how you framed your mirror! I was going to do the same thing to our master monster mirror; however, I chickened out and took the whole thing down (adding two bronze framed mirrors in its place). You make it look so easy ... wish I had your *skeelz*! And, as far as the "bad craft" party ... I'd have LOTS to share with everyone! LOL Take care, Becca

Hi Debbie! I love the 'B' in your boys' bathroom. It looks great in that new color! And, I have known forever that I need to frame out our bathroom mirrors and seeing yours makes me realize that I just need to get my rear in gear and do it! Thanks for the motivation! :-)

Well, I think I clicked off before my post went through- Cheez...I hate when that happens. Anyway...what I said before was that I have a couple of those mirrors upstairs that I need to do something with. I never seem to have quite enough time to go around to finish all those little projects. Great way to finish off those mirrors and not have to obsess about miter cuts.

In our last house I hung framed mirrors on top of the flat builder's mirrors with a decorative cord (wire) holding them. They looked great.

Have a great Sunday night and I hope this post goes through for me this time...Hugs- Diana

It all looks great! I really, really would like to add molding to my mirror. Thanks for the hint about the medallions - that would make it easier to install! I need to find me some of that industrial tape you used - can you let me know what it is called and where you found it?

QUESTION: Do you use the two sided tape right on the mirror...lining up the edge of the molding with edge of mirror? or is the tape on the wall?? Where do you get the tape, at lowes or HD as well??? THANKS
