Mr. And Mrs. "Unique" GARAGE SALEN PARTY ON!!~:)
Today I started cleaning our Master bathroom, much needed, shower, tub, you know the drill. Why is it when you start scrubbing it leads to a project? I decided I would change out for the season, make it a little warmer for the Fall and Winter Months. Best part is I had everything on hand. Led to a few projects too.
For my thrift party this week I will feature this once shabby chic picture from the 1940's. We had this style in a guest bedroom some time ago. I somehow got a water stain on it.
It has bugged me since even though I do not have it hung anymore, I was using it as a bathroom tray.
As you can see from the counter, I had three different projects going. You will only see one today. |
Water stain...very upsetting as this print is old. |
I saw this cute wrapping paper, and for some reason I was very drawn to it. |
The cute little card my husband gave me some time ago...it say's on the front you are UNIQUE! He gave me this before I was going to shoot the corny WOW commercial. I have kept it on my bathroom mirror ever since. |
Although nothing too spectacular to share this week, I find it to be a friendly reminder of how blessed I am to have the wonderful husband that I do. I really like it, and I think it added some zing, zang, WOW, Pow to the back of the faucet! Also, I would like your input this week. Seeing thrifting and garage sales are slowing down. Should we only do my party every other week, and do the Before and After Party every week instead? I would love your opinions please. Thanks for joining me...See you tomorrow when the GARAGE SALEN party link goes up. Joining: Southern in my heart My Romantic home French country Cottage Funky Junk interiors |

Why is it when we set out to clean house we end up redecorating? That's what happens to me! Your new decor looks great but I want to know if you finished cleaning the shower?
Debbie, that is such a great idea! I have a little inexpensive tray that I don't use right now and this would be a great way to spruce it up and give it some new life! Thanks for the great inspiration you clever lady you!
:-)
Vanessa
Now if I could only feel inspired to go clean my shower. Yuck!
What a sweet and fun idea.
I love the paper. It reminds me of that picture of you and Mike in your heading. You two are really happy together, and that shot makes me smile. I think maybe alternating weeks for your parties?
I will most likely be back next week and have my garage sale finds that I can't wait to share, but alas, if you go every other week, I'll wait.
What a sweet husband to give you a card. I can't remember the last time my husband gave me a card unless it was my Birthday, Valentine's Day or our Anniversary.
As far as Garage Salen - it is soooo slow here. If you are getting more and more people in the Before & After it might make sense to switch it up for the winter months.
Hey Debbie- Very cute idea. I have a couple of those "frames" with "stains" waiting on me to do something with them...one day...one day.. I love the way you have it propped behind the faucet and the little card that means so much!
As far as the party-I don't have time to join them..but I love to see all the before and afters. I will be happy to visit you no matter what you do!
Just back from vacationland and one day to decompress before heading back to work...sigh...it was fun while it lasted! Hugs- Diana
That is cute paper and I love it framed. That was so sweet of your hubby to give you that card for that special occasion in your life. I say do whatever you want for the party times. Either way is good.
I love the Mr and Mrs!! Aww, the love! I love ALL of your parties. I could read about them EVERY DAY!
I love what you did to the picture/tray. It looks great.
Yeah, winter garage sales in Ohio? Not happening. BUT! There still are auctions and thrift stores. I'll be hanging around your blog no matter what you do. You can't shake me that easily. :o) La
I think the tray looks awesome and what a wonderful reminder about your sweet hubby. I'm so blessed to have a wonderful husband also and I hope I never take him for granted.
Just this morning at the gym a guy in class asked me why I never worked out with my husband. I replied "he's working" which of course was a wonderful reminder to me that I can be a stay at home princess because Hubby's my prince.
Hi Dear Debbie, most wonderful one! This turned out so cute! You amaze me at all of your creativeness.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia;)
I know a lot of bloggers have that "Winter" thing I've heard so much about, but we're always redoing stuff, so it might be a good idea.
And the card is wonderfully cute and corny, just what love should be.
I love the framed paper...so cute.
Your parties are always fun- doesn't matter what it is.You're such a good hostess!
Great little redo for the water stained print. A shame though. I am slowing down on the thrift shopping. There is an estate sale this weekend but I just don't think I have the time to get there. So whatever is good for you!
I like the paper alot. Cute idea using the picture frame. What a sweet hubby to give you such a special card....Linda
Debbie, I love your redo of this perfume tray. I say perfume tray because in the 50's my mother had a perfume tray with the same pattern on the edges. At the time it had a mirror on it and held her collection of bottles. Mostly "White Shoulders" perfume.
Hugs
Cute, cute, cute idea!! Perfect for the bath! I do the same as you. Decide to put up a new shower curtain and I am shopping the house for a whole new decor! Glad to know I'm not the only one!!
XO,
Janie
Cute paper and it makes a darling little pop in the bathroom. As for the parties, I would miss the yard salen, thrft shop party each week, but will support whatever you decide to do!!
Cute idea and paper! Unique is good and having a wonderful husband is priceless!
Hugs~

Great post Deb, what a great hubby you have too, lucky girl
very special, Deb!
Yes, cleaning always leads to at least one project every week. But that's the reward for cleaning.. isn't it?! :-)
I love All your cute and creative ideas. Esp. love the Card and thought behind it! Your hubby and You are the Cutest couple!! Gives me hope! :-)
Have a Great weekend, Debbie!!!
Hugs,
Coreen
Hey, I know I've already been by but just had to stop back over and say thanks for linking this up to the party!
Vanessa
This is a sweet idea! Thanks for sharing.

Love the paper...so graphic, and makes a fun backdrop for your special card, too! For me, most of my posts are thrift store items anyway, so I am fine either way!
I love that paper, too. Looks great.
I spent all day today, TRYING to dust but ended up just moving things around all over the place. I think us ladies are just born that way, don't you?
Either way on your meme is good with me. I LOVE before and afters, altho I seldom have any to share.
Cute idea, Debbie! I love the paper.
I wish I could put some pretties like your trays in my bathroom but somehow it didn't work here at my home coz with 3 kids, those pretties could get wet every day! nevertheless, your bathroom looks lovely! thanks for sharing.

Great tray redo. I like both parties, but switch them up in they are too time consuming.
Debbie cute redo on the tray! I am so sorry about your print. I like the MR.and MRS. paper in your bathroom..so appropiate. Great thinking! As for the partys do what is easiest for you! We will follow suit, but I have a few great thrift store finds I can't wait to share! Thanks for always being so supportive with all of us, always!
Debbie that pic of you with those teeth are hilarious girl!!! Thanks for hosting the par-tay!!!! Lovin your tray!
Have a great weekend!!!

Love how you transformed the picture - the wrapping paper is so cute! Isn't it amazing that cleaning always leads to a project! Your parties are fun to visit and participate in - I vote keep them the same! Have a great weekend! ~Marcy
I love your transformation of the tray.
It is sad that garage sales are winding down, I still have more to go to this weekend.
I don't have any thrift stores in my area, I have a few antique and consignment stores that I go to.
I realized the other day I've spent almost $200 this year at garage sales, not very good if you're trying to save money, but I love looking at other people's things, and it's always cheaper than buying it in a store.
Very pretty Debbie! Love the sweet card idea.
Happy weekend! ~Melissa :)
that is so cute!!!! I love redecorating...thanks for stopping by today from friday over 40 bloggers and your encouraging words....I am your newest follower..love your blog
Hi-thanks for stopping over on my blog-I bought the transfers at an Etsy store called Olive Rue-it was a super simple project!
I love the wrapping paper that you added! What a good idea.
What a great project. I love that wrapping paper.
Thank you for stopping by and following me.
Hi Debbie- I am all linked up this week! Thanks for hosting your party! Guess we all have decided to party on Fridays!!! :)
That is a really cute way you restyled the frame. What a sweet card from your husband. I don't know how I missed the fact that you were doing a linky of before and afters but, I totally did miss it. I will join in anytime. I will mark to look for it on my linky list. Thanks for stopping by.
Sherry
Very cute and certainly quite unique like the owner. Thanks for your well wishes for my mom, Debbie. She is doing much better although really tired....Christine
Anytime I set out to clean I get distracted with projects. They are so much more fun.
I like your framed paper. I often find paper and cards that scream to be framed.
Have a good week-end, Annette
That is a pretty print Debbie, and using it as a tray is a good idea.
We are both lucky to have such good hubbys!
I see a lot of link parties slowing down lately...I like your idea of alternating weeks.
Your tray is really cute. I hope you keep the garage salen party going. When I can't find a good sale to go to I really enjoy seeing what others have found. But whatever works for you. Thanks for all the work you do to host both parties.
Hi Debbie!
Well, that paper you used in he tray I just too cute!
And I totlly agree with starting out doing one thin and the next thing you know ou are redoing things left and right!
Have a great weekend!
Debbie, I like that paper as well. It works well for the tray. And you are "unique". I so enjoy your bubbly personality! ~ sarah
Love it! it looks really pretty
Diana
Debbie,
I am so very excited to join in your party tonight, although I think I might be late? I have wanted to join all summer, but with the move I had been on "buying good behavior"!! (kind of) Thanks for hosting!!
Wendy
Hi Debbie~ Awww, so sweet of your husband to give you a card and I love the paper on the tray- so cute and what a great idea! Thanks for joining Feathered Nest Friday this week! :) Whatever you feel like doing for the party works either way. Sorry, not much help I guess!! :)
OK, I keep getting an error message when I try to link my blog up, so I'm putting my blog addy here:
