Texture and Color
SO..my tip and tutorial is pretty simple...everything in your home can have a new look or second life. In my case there are many things that have been painted and repainted over and over...
this is pretty self explanatory:
Before vase BLAH! |
Love cobalt blue and orange together...good oranges too! |
Love my little German salt and pepper shakers my FIL gave us, perfect for Spring. |

What a great job you did with this! Love the natural feel of it now. And I'm loving those red scales I'm seeing in the background! Wherever did you get them?
Brenda

Debbie that's so funny I just bought tulips the other day and did the same thing to a vase I had. Mine is a different shape so I didn't do the whole thing but dang it I want yours!!
Color my world party?
That is a really cool & clever idea, Debbie. I think your little S/P are so sweet.

Great job! Love the salt & pepper shakers! So cute! Thanks for sharing. My boys have off tomorrow, too. SB has a friend sleeping over tonight.
That is sooo cute, and I have two big rolls that I bought at a "junk" sale for I think just a few cents a roll. Thanks, can't wait to wrap something in it.
What a great vase!!! Great job with the photos!!! You sure are getting good with your photography!!!
I am really getting into the natural textures, too! Nice!
Love the texture that twine adds to anything. That looks great.
So simple, yet looks great! Very creative and easy!
I love your vase! It's very 'rustic' looking:)
You made me chuckle with your comment about Mr. Doos having work but someone needs to bring home the bacon. Kyran works Sun. thru Thurs. now so Sunday's are lonesome but tonight is his Friday night...woohoooo!!!
Your vase turned out really well! Great addition!
Really cute Deb I'll have to try it!

Wow what a great idea!!!
That is KA-UTE Debbie! The texture is so much more interesting. Where did you find your twine? I can't find it for nothin' around here...Don't they know I'm being tortured by twine madness?!*winks* Vanna
Well, that is just awesome! I love it!
Totally changed the look! Twine is our new best friend. :-)
What a great idea! I have loads of plain glass vases stored away that I was going to donate. Now, I think I may try my hand with some of that twine....
Cute idea Debbie! I rather like all the twine-y stuff. Just so you know I'm seeing Roosters everywhere now since your rooster post. Geez...I'm so not a Rooster lover, I should be seeing as it naturally goes into the French thing, but I'm still looking for special Roosters. You have special Roosters because I adored them. If you're in the market for roosters, they're all over JcPenneys and Sears. On sale even! Rugs, candles, wire roosters. Seriously, I'm not even kidding. I'm being attacked by roosters and it's all since your blog post. LOL ;)
Hope you have a fabulous weekend,
Blessings,
Shanna
