Country french roosters, cont.. and another wood pallet!

Thank you all so much for all the kind compliments on my upcycled wood pallet.
It sure is a keeper, and if I must say so myself, one of my finest jobs to date!
Or at least one I am very proud of .
I stopped by at Lowe's home and garden center today just to see if they had anymore.
I will fill you in on a little secret.
You can drive round back,of Lowes or Home depot, and they will load up your car with all the pallets you want.
Today I could have come home with at least 5 large ones.

I came home with one. AGAIN, I have no clue what I will do with this one.
Any ideas?
May take me several months to come up with something.
In the meant time...
Mike is busy in our backyard....

Hopefully it will look a little something like this..

Perhaps a little nicer...Mike is doing this on his own..
never done masonry work, but I have all faith in him.

Now onto my new Rooster water color by
I found a new home for one of my precious feathered friends

I used my provence color ASCP (Annie sloan chalk paint)
then distressed the frame.

I think it is the perfect touch to my upcycled wood crate.

Thanks again Laurie...
my Mom thanks you too for her bird water color.  Your so kind!

Debbie, I had to go back and look at your fabulous pallet shelf. How did you get it so small? Did you cut wood pieces for the sides, like to frame it? I am soooo confused, I would love to make one, but I can't figure it out? I think you should call the magazine back for more photo's!!

I love the idea of a pizza oven. The kids must be estatic?!?! Your home will definitely be the hang out place if it isn't already.

I'm having a vision, yep, a clear vision of a wood pallet. The wood pallet is sitting on a fireplace mantle. Getting fuzzy now, going away, got to get it back. What does this vision mean? :)

I feel confident that Mike will do a superb job ~ and will prolly be better than your inspiration photo. I'd just like an invitation to sit out there in cool temps and enjoy. I'll bring all the wine you want! :-) Seriously, it will be awesome.

No idea about the 2nd pallet.
