Totally,
loving these upcycled wood pallet projects.
Happy Sunday! This weekend sure flew by for us.
We were non stop busy with the kids, and parties. Certainly, no complaints here.
First Let me announce the winner for the burlap bags.
Using random.org, and not knowing how to generate it to my computer....the LUCKY winner was
#47, Stephanie!
Congrats! Please email me with your address and I will get those out to you asap.
You remember my second pallet that I scored from Lowes home and Garden center...
the first one I scored is
HERE...
and that was a fun makeover.
I was browsing the net and
pinterest for some inspiration..
I knew I wanted it to be an outdoor pallet, because quite frankly our house has no room for one MORE thing!
At least that is what Mr. Doo's thinks...
I also knew I wanted it to be a tad colorful and a touch of whimsy....
hence the rubber garden boots near by,
...they were Free from a friend who was getting rid of them, and I thought, hey I'll take those and do something with them....
It has to stay like this for a week or two and then I can move it around and lean it against the house, or wall, that way the roots will be taken by the dirt.
So there you have something that was kicked to the curb, given a new life.
I will be tweaking it a bit and perhaps sanding the wood a little.
I used a colored stain on the wood like we did our outdoor chairs...

Girl you amaze me with all your creativity!! Love it, the boots too! Martina
Delicious and refreshing these nice boots, great pictures.
so cute Debbie. I might have to steal that idea. The dogs, chickens, ducks and goats get to ALL my flowers so that might just be a way to add some beauty that they will leave alone! Great job!
Very cute Debbie! I love the whimsy of it.

You are always doing something unconventional. What an interesting mind you have Debbie - you see art in everything.
Your decorating ideas are always so fun. This week I bring Breakfast Bread Pudding Cups. These can be made sweet or savory. They are a great make-ahead food to have on hand for those busy back-to-school mornings.
Now that is some sweet garden decor!!!
Hope your week is GREAT!!!
I saw so many pallets like yours, but never know what to do with it!

I mentioned to hubby yesterday that I would like to pick up a wood pallet. He casually said that he'd look through work pallets to see if there were any in good shape because they have them at work and they get sent out for recycling!! Can't believe it. I have no idea how they get the pallets but I'm excited. I've got a vision............
Thanks for hosting! I love your pallet! Such a fun idea!
Debbie, I love this. I checked out the tutorial. I will definitely do this next spring. It is so hot and dry here I won't try this year. Thanks for the neat idea. Hugs, Ginger

Great idea! Pinterest is great when you are trying to spark the imaginations. I can't wait til it fills in.
Love that idea for the pallet. I just pickup 42 new pallet Saturday from Appalachia Power Co. here in Va. First I'm going to repair my mother's redwood loveseat and lounge with the new pallets. Then I think I will try to do one like yours. Thanks for sharing. Lynda
