The status on the outdoor pizza oven!

We have put our outdoor pizza oven to the test!
I do believe it is ready for friends and family now.
Of course Alex's girlfriend and another friend were our first testers!
His buddy is Italian and from NY,
he said it passed his approval.

I will tell you it was a lot of trial and error..
our first few tries only ONE was good enough to eat...
My MIL in Buffalo sent us an outdoor pizza oven book and we tried out a recipe last night.

Carmelized onions and blue cheese, just that simple, but OH so good!

I just had the last piece today, COLD, and it was delish!

We also made a traditional basil, sauce and cheese one...

I finally figured out how to roll the dough, which is not that easy...

Who wants pizza now?
come on over..only takes 3 minutes.

If you are new here, read all about the outdoor pizza oven, building process
HERE
Have a great day!
XO

Debbie, you are so lucky to have this wonderful outdoor pizza oven! I could almost smell all that delicious goodness from looking at your photos!

I'm sure in no time at all you will all be pros at making the dough and cooking it up at just the right amount of time. You boys will have friend clamoring to come over for a slice -- so cool for them!

OK, being from PizzaTown. I know it's all about that crust. Your's looks perfect. The onion with the fancy dancy cheese is right up my alley. Now,the most important question is how do you slice it. Pie or Squares. You know here in Chicago we are all about the Squares....seriously, that's true.

Back to Packing. Already too much Junk in the Trunk and I still don't have one bag of mine stuff. Lordy, lordy, lordy.

Great pizza in only 3 minutes? Now be honest Debbie...you built this so all your sons' friends would want to come to your house in the next few years didn't you? :D

I went to a home (yes, these people must have been loaded) who had this huge game room with a pool table, a pinball machine, and a Ms. Pacman game straight from the arcade. They said they did this on purpose so their then teenage kids' friends would want to hang out at their house. Easier to keep an eye out on them that way.

I'm thinking you've got the same thing going on with the pizza oven!

Glad you are enjoying it!

Hi Deb!
I have been watching the construction of your pizza oven & wanting to share with you some info on some amazing pizza. My hub has been wanting an out-door pizza oven for quite a while. I'll have to show him yours. He has perfected a crust recipe that he got from Pizza Napoletana! by Pamela Sheldon Johns. This stuff is just wonderful & I'll bet it tastes even better in a wood-fired oven. Yum! Let me know!
