How to make a Christmas wreath {Holiday decor}
Well yes, if you have a can a spray paint and a few minutes of time, you can make the same.
You may recall back in the Fall where I shared a quick Fall wreath with you.
You may noticed I changed my header and added this wreath as well.
Playing around in Picnik today, that places is Trouble too!
You may notice I changed my header again for the season, and also added a plaid back drop.
I know some bloggers do not like changing the header or feel it is unnecessary.
My thoughts are this....
A lot of gals turn to blogs versus magazines anymore.
Mags change their covers monthly, now, grant you, I will not change my header monthly, however, seasonally, I think the change is refreshing for me.
I made my collage in picnik, and it was free, fast and simple.
Here is a quick lesson.
Go to picnik, and hit get started...
You will then be directed to the next page
On the top, second option, it says collage...
Hit collage...
You then see the basic options for your collage...
pick the one you would like...I always choose the 4 boxes across...so I know it will be wide enough for my blog.
Then upload the photos of your choice, which is at the bottom of that screen
Drag the pics to the box.
You may adjust the boxes as you will also see that option, spacing,proportion,etc...
Once you have all your pictures in place, hit save.
NOW you go to the edit section,
add your text, and I also at that time add a clear border, so I can add my text, giving me enough space.
You really do not want to add text over your header, unless you see it is clearly visible to read.
Hope this helps you!
You also have the option to resize your header, and that all depends on your blog template.
You can play around with that.
HERE is another tip for you on the background. I googled wallpaper, example, french country, plaid, whatever....then I saved the image to my computer.
In your template designer you have the option to UPLOAD your own background...
So I tried it, and the wallpaper worked!

Really love this wreath-the color and the simplicity. Thanks for sharing .
Great color, love how simple it is with just a few things to set it off
I love the wreath in green with pine cones and candy canes! That is so quick and easy! I love that you change your header. Heck, I change mine almost monthly. I break all the rules!!!
Love the plaid look. Neat.
Debbie, love the wreath! It looks perfect! You know, I have never known how to DO a header on my blog....I am illiterate in that area! So thank you so much for this tutorial!! I have printed it out (lol) and am going to give it a go! We shall see what happens....
Have a great day!
Lou Cinda :)
I love your wreath~ the green is so pretty! Love the new plaid background and header, too!
Debbie, I really like the wreath and so quick and easy.
Thanks for the lesson on changing headers. I recently changed mine, but I will use Picnik in the future. I noticed you changed the background paper. How do you add that?
Barb
Deb, I LOVE it.. I gotta get some of that color.. what a perfect shade of green. I have a wreath I can spray and now I am inspired to do so..
xoxo

Amazing what a little ol can of paint can do!!!
Must get going on picknic :-) I love change too. It's funny how many times now I 'just' use blogs both on their own and through Pinterest. So much nicer to have everything virtually there instead of having all the extra paper around.
I vote for the wreath to be bright yellow for spring! Let's start spring now. I'm done with all this grey already.
Great job, Debbie, I love it...adorable! The green with the pine cones with the candy canes, too cute! =) XO ~lIZ
Isn't Picnik the best! Thanks for the tips on making the header, I haven't been brave enough to try "the header" yet,but always admire yours. Your home is so cozy! Love it! It is a blustery, winter day here on the Alberta prairies and I have to "head out" to work when I really wish I could stay put!! Have a great day and thanks again for all your inspiration
LOVE the green twig wreath! What pretty color of paint :)
I also change my header... I must admit though, I do change it monthly (and even more frequently for holidays) because it's fun and I have so many pics I want to use! I also use picnik to make my headers.
~Chris
I just bought the same green spray paint. I love the color! I haven't tried mine yet so I'm glad to see it on your wreath...now I know what to expect :)
Oh, and I love your new background.
So simple but looks so cute. You really are so creative and just so full of imagination, Debbie...Christine
My how we think alike. Scary, isn't it. Love the wreath! The Green Ivy Krylon is the same green that I used on my front porch makeover. I just love that color.
I noticed you new header right away. I love the plaid wallpaper background. I made my new header in picnik as well. In blogland words, "Easy Peasy"
Thanks for sharing
Super great wreath. I use to change my blog header all the time and then stayed with the one I have for a long time since I love it. Now I'm ready to change again and do some seasonal headers...thanks for the info I will try that. Hugs, Linda
SUPER Sweet and Simple... always a GREAT combination... If I were knocking at your door I might have to take a bite of one of your Candy Canes... Okay.. Not Really... But then again if I was Hungry I just might.. :)
Love that color of green! I am with you about changing headers seasonally.
Great tips today Debbie. I love the new header. I agree it is ok to change it and people will still recognize your blog. I love that the wreath is simple, I was just wondering what to do, I may have to steal your idea. I like simple and reusable things. I enjoyed your post today:)
Oh, Debbiedoo...I change my header, sometimes every week...I LOVE the newness and it is sooo easy to do.
Love your new wreath. Well, new color. :) Cute as can be.
I am in the process as we speak of making another small wreath...don'tchaknow I will show it. :))

Your fantastic thanks for the imfo, I've did it before but always forget what to do! Also thanks for the wallpaper imfo too, I'll have to try this, love the change to your blog and you are so right I love to change mine too!
Love that green, gee could I be changing into a loving color blogger?LOL
Oh Debbie, the reason a lot of us don't change our blog header is because we are afraid we will screw up our blog!! We are not gutsy like you! I think once you are established it is great to change your header. If your new I think you should leave it for awhile or people will think they are at the wrong house! I love your wreath! I got my Scentsy yesterday...love it, along with my 9 packs of sugar cookie blocks to melt, yep I love the sugar cookie!

Fun color! I love quick changes like that. Love the plaid, too! Thanks for sharing.
Very cute wreath. Love the change. Great tutorial for changing the header. I get too nervous messing with that. Yours looks great.
That's a great wreath!
Your blog design is looking completely festive...I love it.
I love your new header and background! I've been playing around in picnik lately. Amazing what you can do!
I know that I sound like a broken record...really I do....but, you are amazing. So inspiring, upbeat and your blog just makes me happy!!! =)
You seriously can weld a can of paint like no other. Perfect. Of course, I love your Grinch Green new color for the season. I in fact, need to weld a can or two for some holiday updates around here this week.
You know I'm all about a header change up every now and then. So, enjoy seeing other's too. I don't have any problem what so ever, knowing just who's blog I'm visiting. Call me crazy, but maybe that just the blogs I follow. They each have a voice of their own that speaks to me... just like you....telling me to get going, Ms.G.B. you are falling behind on the decor.
Spray On,
You know Who
Cute wreath. I love how simple it is.
If someone(hubby) doesn't get my wreaths out of storage soon, I may be making all my own Christmas decorations :)
Very cute and rustic!! Where did you get your wreath?
XO,
Jane
Love that shade of green.
Your new wreath turned out so cute! I love how simple it was too. Thanks for the tutorial on how to change the blog header. I've never done it before. I don't know if I'm brave enough to do it myself though. I like the idea of changing it with the seasons.
Debbie, what a great wreath and I love that color. Great job. I love how it looks on the door with glass window. I have the same door and wondering what would look good there. Now I know. Great look.

That is a gorgeous shade of green; it makes the twigs look fresh and evergreen.
I noticed grey is coming back, it seems to be hand in hand with green a lot. See how many green and silver decor schemes there are in blogs this Christmas. Almost as many as pink!
Love it! Love your new holiday look here too.
Rhonda
Hi Debbie! Thank you for another informative post, especially the info on using Picnik. I'd just heard of it recently and went over to try placing Santa hats on my guinea pig pics - that part was a pay to use section, argh. However, I'd always wondered how people got the multiple pics on their blog headers and now I know! I'm going to take some seasonal pics and play with it tomorrow. I agree, changing headers for holidays is a fun way to keep the blog fresh, fun and interesting! Thanks again! Hugs,Leena
I love the green too! Way to reFresh it! And you header looks like a magazine cover...everything you actually does! Have a great day!
Debbie

Debbie, this is such an awesome idea. Thanks you for the inspiration and also for the tutorial on how to make a collage to change the header. I went ahead and tried it and I was able to make one for my blog to change it for Christmas. Thank you for everything you always do to help those of us that are still learning.
