Pallet projects {Newbie party started}

Happy Sunday all!
It is a very happy day for me, as my Mom and sis will be here in about two hours!
YIPEE, fun is on the way.
I have one more wood  pallet after this one, and really NOT sure what I will do if anything at all with it.
I was in desperate need of shelving, or something that would house my craft paints, brushes, glue sticks, ribbon, you know all the good stuff that goes along with crafting.

I am limited on my space, between all the closets being a packed mess,
and no where to store things, I came up with this idea.

First I cleaned it up, painted it antique white by Glidden, paint and primer in one.
I then took some dark wax and ligtly brushed it on here and there.
This is what i have been using for my craft paints and supplies.
I DO NOT recommend sauder furniture, your better off going to Goodwill, and finding something there.

That thing was pathetic.

Keep in mind this was free, and I am just recycling what I can.
This certainly is not an upscale fancy shmancy makeover.

I have been doing a lot of crafting these days, so my paints are always out and not in any sort of neat order, or even color coded for that matter.

If nothing else, it is organized in the sense I can actually see what I have now.

Someday I plan on replacing that computer desk. That is another piece of not good quality.
I recently did the panels as you can slightly see. I will give more details soon.
Not sure if I like it yet.
This is where I sit, blog and blab.
Where do you keep your crafts and stuff?

See y'all later.

Love the pallet storage. My little crafts which aren't that many are stuffed in a box and my paints are out in our storage room which desperately needs organizing.

The pallet looks fabulous. I love the idea. I keep mine in one of those white cabinets you get at lowes and put together. It fits in the small space I have in the laundry room, so works for me. Your loft space is super. Hugs, Marty

oooh...I have that very same desk. Preblogger days I redid it into my "girly" armoire. Painted and aged, new hardware and added shelves in the inside. Love it for my shoes, makeup, and "girly" things. The pallet shelf is creative and does the job! Great!

I love the pallet, Debbie. I don't think something has to be fancy in order to be functional. And if it works for you, that's great! I would love to use a pallet for something. Just haven't come up with my own idea yet. Thanks for showing us your idea!

Have a great Sunday!

This is a very cute idea...I love how you think outside of the box!

We have a small office/craft room. It holds my supplies but there is really no room to work in it so I am relegated to the kitchen floor! lol!

Have a wonderful time with your mom and sis!

You are so clever! That's an awesome and creative use of a palette. I would never have thought of that. I live in such a tiny space I use the bottom half of a vintage cupboard, plus a plastic bin tucked away in my closet for my craft supplies. I have to keep mine well organized and was just working on that yesterday, purging items I haven't used in a while.

Great idea! I don't have my craft items organized in any way, shape or form. :-) Just one more thing I'm in avoidance about! I like the pallet and of course, your touches to it make it appealing.

Have so much fun with your Mom & sister!

Oh, clever one. Great idea. I am aloud to get only clear plastic bins. Mr.S thinks I can see my yarn better that way and I won't be out buying more if I see it. Little does he know. Enjoy your time with family this week and over the holiday.

If I only had the painting talent that you and other bloggers have, I wouldn't give a flyin' flip WHERE I kept my paints. I would be so excited to know I could actually PAINT SOMETHING PRETTY that I might just strap them to my body. :)))

This is a great use for a pallet.

You're making progress in your craft area. You can always turn it sideways and add a few pieces of wood(pallet) to make 3 shelves and then hang it on the wall. Pallets have so many uses. I keep all my craft supplies in our bonus room, but it is only functional and not very pretty. I have plans to make it prettier, thought, but it's not high on the priority list.

Oh gosh.... all of my paints were packed up when we moved from Arizona to Virginia 4 years ago and they are still sitting in a box in the basement. Not sure I will use them again before they just all dry up, unless they already have... Sad, eh? Love the use of the old pallet though.. genius my Dear... Genius!

Very good use of the pallet. When you can actually see what you have you save time and money. I don't know how many times I bought a craft item again because I could not find the one I already had. My craft room is always a mess - the only room in the house no one sees but my cleaning lady!

Hi Debbie,
I think it's great and I also love the panels you made...My crafts are all over the house in different cupboards because I have so much for different types of projects--it is unreal and I can't keep up with it. I think I'm moving half of it out to the garage because we have company coming! lol

You are endlessly creative. I wish you lived in my neighborhood. We could do some damage together, you and I.

I have a big work table out in my garage, flanked with shelves that has little 3 drawer rolling cabinets underneath it. I fill it up with whatever I'm interested in...until my interest wains....and then I give it all away and replace it. Yup. I do. This year I gave the biggest truckload of scrapbooking and cardmaking stuff to a local teenager. My husband just rolls his eyes when I do that.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Debbie!
