Transforming a picture frame! {DIY}
I decided to transform the picture frame.
this beautiful poppy picture to me. She was so kind and thoughtful to do this, and to be honest I was blown away by it.
Terrible picture, this was before BLOGGING.
which btw, I emailed her, and she was in her usual down to earth fashion, pretty much saying I don't give a darn, I expected you to change it sometime or another LOL!
Thank you Lisa:)
Close up of frame.
I painted it with antique white, paint and primer mixed in one by Glidden. I also used a dark wax.
Then I heavily distressed it.
This is the other side of my blogs and blabs area.
Our loft over looks the living room area, Hello family, I can see YOU!
I am still working on the other side, and NOT coming along as I would have liked.
There is always tomorrow.

I can't believe I'm the first today. I for one am glad to see the ROOS. But, I do love me some poppies. So we will call it a draw here. Great job on the frame and wonderful use of it too.... Now, about that last picture from upstairs. I thought I knew every little corner of your charming house, but this puts it all into a new perspective for me now. Great shot. Oh, and let me know if I will pass for the copycat.
Hi Deb! I love that frame around the clock, great idea! You did a wonderful job on it too!
Lisa sounds like a true friend!
Great frame and you sure brought out its full potential.. looks great~!
I hope the rest of your project comes out like you want it.
Love those Lampshades:)
I think the frame around the clock is a great look. I too keep trying to change things up. My Roos are a pretty new addiction for me!
hugs, Linda
Well, DAH Deb... silly me. I need to read the directions. Of course, I may try something new for the real holiday copycat. Let's just call my posting a highlight of things to come over there and a reminder to your parties. I really need to slow down and read a bit more. You are the best and do keep me on my toes.
Love the pretty glass bottles in the window. So subtle, but nice!
Your on a roll Debbie! I love all the new projects in your home.
Dee
P.S. The new lampshade is beautiful.
Hey Debbie, this looks awesome with your decor! Now, that's a transformation! LOVE the stenciled table! Wanna do mine?
Nice job on the frame! I love the geometry of the circle inside the square. Looks great! Thanks for sharing.
That corner is looking great, Debbie! Love the new look to the frame. When I got my shade at Walmart it was the last one on the shelf, too. I think they only put out one at a time and everyone thinks they got the last one! : )
Love how you transformed that frame. It looks completely different. I thought you used chalk paint until I read further. It looks so good framing that cute clock!
Love the frame redo and love the clock in it. Great idea.
One thing at a time ;) I think we get a few too many balls up in the air sometimes and there is only one US! I know I'm going ten different directions right now. LOL
The frame sure looks pretty and I love how you can still be in on what the fam is doing while your working =) Such a great space!
I love the whole vignette! I looks so cozy & pretty! Great job!
Blessings,
Cindy
Girl you need to take a rest. You must dream about paint in your sleep. I do like the look of the square around a circle great shape use. Lovely as ever!!
We change our taste along the way and it's amazing how much the blogs influence me in my decorating! I love your roos! ♥
Hey Debbie!
What a wonderful transformation for the frame! You always have great ideas. Thanks for stopping by my blog a few weeks ago. I always appreciate your comments.
~Vicki~
I love what you did with the frame. It looks great. What a nice story as to how you got the artwork in the first place. Very cool.
I love it! I think the clock looks great with the frame around it. I also love the stenciled table.
Live what you did to the frame. My all-time favorite picture is Georgia o'keefe's poppy.
Debbie, the table caught my eye. I love that pattern. Great idea with the framed clock.
I love the frame and the clock -So you just used the antique white paint? no glaze? oh and the lamp shades are so pretty . I just saw a antique letter rug on ballard that reminded me of the lamp shades.
Love that clock....How cool is that and framed..... girl you are the best decorator!
Carol
Hi Debbie ... love the framed clock. You have so many great decorating ideas and seem to get them done so quickly. Don't know how you keep up with yourself.Glad you still have the Roos.
Debbie I LOVE the frames new look and very clever adding the clock! Martina
Looks so awesome, Debbie...the frame turned out beautifully and I love the clock! They really look great together! I love the lampshades, too!
OH WOW, Deb, this all is so beautiful...I can only think of 2 words--YOU INSPIRE!"

Looks great! I bet the poppies were a wonderful look, but you know I'm partial to roos. ;-)
Wow, Debbie! I LOVE the clock in the frame!!! It looks awesome the way you redid the frame too. Great looking corner with the stenciled table and new lamp shade.
Those covered chairs in the "old" poppy picture are really neat...
xxxooo
Hey Deb. I have been gone, so I am trying to catch up. Your house is always a cozy treat to visit!
XO
The frame looks great! And the stenciled table - awesome!
Wow Debbie, what a wonderful landing you have there even if you did change out the poppy print to get it! (you know how I love red and my den is full of poppies!) Love the wall stencil...really looks GREAT!
I like how you've framed your clock. Still loving the Walmart lampshades.
Love what you did with the frame....both the paint and using it to frame the clock!
Looking fabulous Deb!
And I see you have mantel party coming up, can't wait!
You surely have such a gorgeous home!
Hugs,
Cindy
Debbie,
The frame looks great and i like how you have used it! I have that same shade in my guest room:)
Blessings,
Linda
It looks awesome there! Love it around the clock and that new shade goes so well with it!
I love the new look of the frame. It's funny because I was just looking at one of my own frames and thought I should paint it. It seems rather heavy looking in my bedroom. Now I think I will. Just need the time!
