Oh, lovely ideas! I love the little pumpkins hanging on twigs centerpiece, just too pretty. I will have to see more for next year as I already posted what my tablescape is going to look like 2011...you see, I'm decking halls for Christmas already and I don't want to post a Tksgiving table with a Christmas home. Thank you for sharing and hope you come over and visit. Have a great weekend. FABBY
I love all these beautiful idea but my only problem is ,, where do we put the food!!!!
I guess you take it apart before you sit down to eat,,
te he, if it's good enough for Mrs.Smith, it's good enough for me! xoxo
I love the first tablecloth, too! My mom cooks and yes she still makes all her pies from scratch. We get to show up with drinks! Not a bad deal :)

Pretty inspiration! Yes, I'm hosting. Just pulling together table ideas and planning my menu. And, I do bake my own apple pies.

I have been saving pics for a post, too. These are some great ideas and I have got to get back home and get crackin.
Lovely variety of ideas Debbie, thanks for the inspiration you have my wheels turning:)
Australians don't celebrate Thanksgiving and I think it's a real shame. That's why I always have a Thanksgiving dinner at my place for my family and I cook a turkey with all the trimmings and I make a sweet potato pie. I love your tablescape ideas and might try to incorporate some of them this year!
Best wishes,
Natasha.
I am loving that fireplace in the first photo! I will have Thanksgiving here for just us, the kids and Mom and Dad, so not a big dinner, but no apple pie, but an apple cake with warm caramel sauce!
I hate to admit it but even though I baked a lot when my kids were young, I've never baked a pie. Those are great ideas, maybe I'll borrow a couple.
I think that first one is fabulous!!! I am not hosting this year. We are headed to Tom's mom's. I am excited, but just found out that my loser BIL and SIL are taking their kids to the beach with their best friends. It makes me sad as we won't be there for Christmas since we will be at my family's. Well, it is their loss! Thanks for letting me vent!! Ha!
I used to make homemade pumpkin pie every year, but now I make pumpkin dump cake which is to DIE for!!!!
that first one just grabbed me big time!
WOW great inspiration pics Debbie! Thanksgiving is always at our house now I have some ideas for my tablescape:) Martina
Hi Deb! Lovely photos, full of inspiration. We can't get enough.
I am not sure what we are doing this year for Thanksgiving. Maybe go to my cousin's house. Talking about homemade Apple pie, I just made 4 little Apple pies and 4 chocolate pies. We are going out for dinner tonight...I thought I would serve the pies for dessert. Enjoy the week-end. Linda
LOVE that tablecloth. My daughter and I are cooking at our other daughter's house because she will have a new baby at home. Then some of us will drive home for dinner here the next day. I think it is going to be a rushed holiday for us! xo Diana
My family takes turns hosting and this year it is my sisters turn. I hosted last year, so now I get a break. yay! now that my neices and nephews are getting older, they will be joining in to host in the future too. i'm sure Kim will be posting her tablescapes for this year's Thanksgiving. I look forward to seeing what she'll come up with.
I do Thanksgiving every year and sometimes dessert, too. I do love it, it's all about creating memories!
Thanks for sharing the pictures...Thanksgiving is starting to look rustic, the way it should...the Pilgrims surely had a simple table!!
Yes, I still make apple pie, it's my favorite! I use a recipe from Paula Deen. It's SO good!!
Have a great weekend, Debbie!
XO,
Jane
Oh, these are all fabulous.
All would look great on my table.
Thanks for all the ideas!
Love the one with green and orange, so bright and cheerful!
I'm cooking for 12 adults and 2 kids. My brother is bringing the desserts, though. My hubby makes an almost homemade apple pie. He uses a store bought bottom crust sometimes. It's been awhile.
Great tablescape ideas Debbie. I have to confess, I haven't had to host for many years. A ton of us meet up at my brother-in-laws house. He and his wife are great hosts. We just have to bring a dessert.
great ideas, love the branches and hanging pumpkins! I'm hosting and always looking for a way to dress up the table:) thanks for the ideas!
Me! I'm cooking.
I'm still gathering ideas, so thanks for the inspiration!
And yes, we still bake our own apple pie. My mom, sisters & I (my daughter now too) always get together & crank out the homemade pies. Apple, pumpkin, chocolate are a given & sometimes we'll throw in something different like coconut, banana, or pecan.
Lots of pie here on a scarily regular basis. Love that linen tablecloth.
Caught your guest post and love that tradition, very memorable is right, I can't wait to hear all about Savannah!
We go to my in-laws... but i love that branch/hanging pumpkins idea!

Great sample tables.. We dont have large dinners anymore but I love seeing pretty arrangements.
Beautiful inspirations! I will also be hosting Thanksgiving again at my house. My family of 7 plus my parents and my niece who lives with them. This year is going to be even more special because my dad if very ill with Cancer so we are making sure it will be one to remember.
I make all the food...turkey, all the sides..lasagna and desserts. I haven't mastered our families apple pie so I buy Mrs. Smith's but I can make a mean Pumpkin Pie!
Im working on Christmas in the living room and the tree, but still leaving room in the dining room for our Thanksgiving tablescape.

Great inspiration pictures. My table is too small for much of a tablescape though. Also my house is small so one of my four daughters will host Thanksgiving. Another daughter will make homemade pumpkin and apple pies. I'm spoiled. :0)
I bought myself just the right table with just the right wing chairs so we would have enough room for our growing family. Then my newly married son asked if they could cook dinner for us and our daughters at the home of his wife's parents since his wife's father has had a stroke; it would be easier for them.I have cooked the dinner for years and we are planning to cook a back-up dinner the Saturday after...just so my dear hubby can enjoy the leftovers! I must adapt as the kids grow older, but it isn't always easy.
I'm hosting this year! And yes, we make home made pies, crust and all!!! We actually have "Pie Day" the day before Thanksgiving in my family! It's practically a holiday of 4 generations gathering at my aunts home to make pies!
Thanks for all the inspirational photos! I still don't know which dishes to use!!! LOL!!!
They pay me not to cook. It's a pretty lucrative deal and a win-win situation! They don't die of food poisoning and I have extra folding cash!

Hi, Debbie,
Thanks for the inspo! Unfortunately, I'M the designated cook.

Beautiful inspiration photos! I've never been one to decorate the table--too many little kids at our Thanksgivings--but I'd sure LIKE to. I will be cooking this year, with help from family. I like to do it. And our traditional pies are homemade pumpkin and pecan!
Love them all!!
They are all lovely!! I am cooking and hosting ..up to 18 people so far and could be more. Slightly freaking out even though everyone will bring something..still a lot of work. I have no idea what I'll do on the tables, I better get that done early! Thanks Debbie!
I love that first table, Debbie. Many times I have thought of moving the big farmhouse table into the hearth room, just for a special day. May just do it for Thanksgiving, which for us is the Sunday before. I think it would be a nice surprise for my kids.:-)
I don't remember the last time I made a homemade apple pie.
Wonderful ideas. Not sure of my Thanksgiving plans yet. Maybe I will cook or go visit friends.
Beautiful photos!! I love, love Thanksgiving and I usually host it for my family. This year we're going to my brother's and that will be fun.
Oh, and yes, I still make homemade pies, apple included! :-)

My sister is hosting again this year. We are hopefully eating outside again because this year we are up to 41 people! I'm trying to come up with some table ideas. These are all so pretty!
meeee....me...I do...I still bake a homemade apple pie....:)))
and I also WANT THAT TABLECLOTH.:))QQ
Love that last one!
I am hosting, and I am trying not to be stressed out about it! Thanks for the inspiration you posted, Debbie. I will get it together in time I'm sure.
Thanks for sharing such pretty pictures! I am not hosting this year, but I will certainly be cooking with my sister as we gather at my dad's house. We do not have apple or pumpkin pie though... our traditions include homemade pecan pie, chocolate pie and chess pie! All of them or so yummy and fattening!!
