"Downtown Orlando" shabby chic charmer home tour
The decorating is kind of shabby chic, I don't like a lot of clutter so, I call it "Minimalist Shabby"
I love this picture over the fireplace. I found it at the estate sale of a 94 year old photographer. The back of the picture is covered with stamps from where it was exhibited all over the world. The best part, it set me back $1.00!
This is a slat wall with baskets and hooks that can be easily rearranged. I love to see and lay hands on everything I need.
The blue Bathroom
This Little project took me 3 weeks to complete. I did everything myself, with the exception of carrying the blue toilet to the curb
After
Who needs a medicine cabinet in the hall bathroom? I pulled it out, framed it up, and added some vintage goodies
"Joy
Excitement for the dawn of each new day
And
Wishing that day would never end"
My days are filled with fun, things I could only dream about when I was working.
Yep, I love living downtown!
The Deli around the corner is where I will be hosting my sons wedding rehearsal dinner in November
I love to hit the farmers market on the weekend
Well that's all folks! Thank you Miss Debbie for letting me show my house
I invite you all to visit my blog "The Polka Dot Closet", filled with tutorials and simple transformations anyone can do. Yep, all the secrets are out of the closet
Happy Creating!
Carol
Thank you Carol, for having us over to your most charming Downtown Orlando home!

What, blue toilets are not charming? Can't say I've ever seen that shade of blue biff. House is cute as all get out now. And Carol, I just need to know.... you have a little sign out front that says "Michaels Crafts" or "Hobby Lobby"? Because I think you have everything I need to make or sew anything I want. Cept I don't sew.
~Bliss~
Well, I can't wait to scoot over to her blog & check out more. This is a look I could never pull off in my style home & with a hubby, but I can live vicariously through this blog. Thanks so much, Debbie, for having her guest post.

Debbie,
I like your charmer and how you decorated it. And the cats too.
I live in a pink cottage on the west coast, older & smaller w/lots of garden. Two black & white cats live here too.
Thanks for sharing. Visit me too if you can.

What a beautiful home. I would die for a sewing room like that. I've always dreamed of having everything right in "reaching" range. Thanks for the tour.
