Garage salen # 9 jaCk's room

Not much to share this week in terms of Garage sales for me.  We are leaving for vacation come Monday, and I am busy packing, ironing and list making!  I have been wanting to share Jack's room with you all for some time now.  Jack's room is filled with treasures both old and new. He has some special antiques that he has picked out himself when going to the shops with us. Hope you enjoy them.
I have some features to share with you as always. First up my friend DIANN. I have watched her garden over the last couple of weeks go from lovely to MEGA COOL and colorful! Of course I would like to believe I have had some influence on this....perhaps I have, I think she told me I did:) But don't you just love these colorful planters...I think she got them for a buck crazy!

Next on the list is.....my friend Michelle, again I would like to take credit for her new fun color choice....I do believe she told me that too:) I swear I am not bluffing or bragging..well yes I am, but who cares!..I just can't help but spread the color love!
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFiGFtxgji9lvnJgKH_2cqnT56-wVXncbSM5BCsOeLGwiwv8FK3tYanto-tSTMARFAeCMvpaWUBSxQ3w8IYNzN-SQ1VzMMm60Zv-QZbHzD25kd7ymQvB72QcJ04sNNfz5hSQaihfhf/s400/P1050552.JPGYou really have to check out her tutorial on this piece.
Last but not least this week is
my friend Debbie-Dabble...and yes I am going to take credit once again for her color inspiration on her fun garden finds. Well you see all these colors are great FUN in and around your home...makes old things look fun and fresh.  Go check out these awesome blogs, you will be glad you did.

Now onto the weekly Garage salen party #9

The radio here was my Grandfathers, and I have such fond memories of Gramp playing his radio.  It still works too.

This we found at our favorite antique shop.  In fact Jack spotted it.  It was only $6.00 and is all hand made with copper....can you imagine the time alone that went into this?

Boat is from an antique shop, and the little ceramic wiener dog was also my Grandfathers.  Jack was named after my Gramps....I am sure my Grandfather planted the seed for Jack...as he was conceived a month after my Grandfather passed away.

Jack is big into Martial arts, at the age of 8 he obtained his black belt after four years of hard work

These where in the middle of his floor as usual, I very carefully moved them aside for my photo op
This day was dreary when I took the photos...although not the best of photos...you get the gist of Jack's old man room.....with all his OLD antiques.
Link going up a bit early, I want to be sure to have enough time to visit everyone before I leave:) Happy thrifting! Linking up to a few lovely hosts! Thanks so much!

Jack's room is so nice. Love his bedding and his horse lamp is almost like mine. That is a lot of belts he has earned. I love them displayed like that. I will post my finds tomorrow. I have a new laptop and router, but my desk top is not working. No server found is all it keeps saying. May have to call ATT. Laptop works great so I will do a post from it. I have to take pics and load them and figure all this out.

Hi Debbie, Love Jack's room, it's perfect for a boy and I think it is so nice to have him involved in choosing things that are going to be in his room. It will teach him so many lessons on the value of collecting things that mean something to him and that speak to him, it's not about the dollar value but the senitmental value of things he has collected himself. So smart of you and his dad, I really believe that kids should have a big say in their rooms. Great picks; Jack, you have awesome taste! I hope you have a great vacation!
