GaraGE saLEN Party #7

First off let me say THank you all for another great party last week.  I don't care what anyone says....I hang with the coolest chics in town! And that is all of you. You gals are so courteous and caring to one another each and every party.  I see your comments to each other, and you just make me smile. I think I throw a darn good party...my guests mingle and have fun. Of course the host is not too bad herself (Patting myself on the back, and coughing)  Of course I have cool friends in my reality life...but none of them thrift...can you believe that? Oh well they are missing out! I had so many favorites this week.
Let me start with Gina....I believe she is new to this thrifting gig...but I do believe she is onto something.  Check out this beautiful dresser score

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Bfs_qLW5bxI/TBGRA2IThdI/AAAAAAAAA4Y/XrC3V0jhvmo/s400/IMG_0502.jpg
Next up...my young, fresh, and energizing friend Allison.....her and her husband are also newbies to this, and having a ball....look what she found last week, and then look what they did a couple of days later.....I am impressed...they are so cute too!!~

AFTER: can you believe this? I just love it!

Now for my last feature of the week. My friend Leann!~ This gal rocks in her cool vintage, sassy style. She is fun, and uses great color in her home...very different from anything I am used to seeing....and I love different!~
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_RUwoQG8Pzl8/TCC9H0tu9QI/AAAAAAAACgs/bIxmSbs55Us/s640/YARD+SALE+DAY+2+001.JPG
See what I mean...she is a cool cat, go check out her blog, you will be happy you did!
Now let's get this partay started once again.
I almost forgot about posting my latest score:

This table was hideous! But for 5.00 and a little creative thought...I came up with something useful. I am over the Modge podge for now...I think I have mastered it, and have to go onto something else. The top of this table was so beat up, and who in their right mind painted this? I mean I love fun and funk, but this is down right FUGS!
Cute little butterfly for 50 cents....I left her natural for now.

Just a little more color....I bought this as well at the thrift store for 1.00.

That's all folks....now let's get this party started! I can't wait to see what you have all scored this week! Oh I spent a whopping $6.50on my finds this week...now that is what a call thrifting!

THANKS SO MUCH FOR FEATURING ME!!! :) You've made my day!

That table totally reminds me of a shelf unit I am working on right now! It was almost the same colors! lol Love what you did to it.

I have nothing to add this week, unless I finish my shelf- which is ALMOST done so maybe I'll get off to go finish it just so I can post it! lol Thanks again!

I am loving those shutters...unfortunately, I have the sort of husband that believes they should be on the outside of the house...not inside. Ugh.

Your table turned out so cute and colorful! What were the previous owners thinking?

Okay, now I have to search through my stash of wicker baskets/trays and find one to spray paint red! That pop of red looks wonderful!!

I'll have you know, you have inspired me to "step out of my color comfort zone" and play with some bright fun colors! Yup, I am painting a candlestick bright yellow right now. And I thought of you while I did it! LOL

I'll be linking up probably tomorrow!

Fun stuff! clever ideas. I need a week off work so I can get creative for my own use. I always do somnething creative in each home I work with yet with my own I tend to think it, and not do it. kinda like a mechanics car is always due for that oil change or the cabinet makers home is all unfinished. Is it being to busy and no spare time to devote enough or is it just because ya do it all week and ya burn out? I am not sure. Maybe both. All I know is with this new place here i could have a feild day getting creative if I had you here to inspire me and kick me in gear!!

Hi Debbie, I am late getting to the party but I just got home from yard salen and couldn't wait to show my new found treasure. Your table is so cute and I love the bright colors you used...they are so happy. But don't hate me when I say I liked it "as found" too. That green geometric print is pretty cool I think.
