No Topic Tuesday~~~!

It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since starting my blog! I have 52 posts and thought today I would take a chill from posting a topic.  As I have mentioned before I think I was a bit obsessive compulsive and do not want to burn out too quick!  I have had so much fun interacting and learning about different people and your values and opinions.  It means a lot to me that you where willing to share so much, and I thank each and every one of you.  Today was a great day for me as I usually do have great days!  I look at life like this, Waking up, having my health and having my family healthy as well, is really all that matters to me. My boys are great kids and every day I look at them and feel as though I am the luckiest mother.  I know that may sound ridiculous, but it is true.  Today when Alex my older son came home from school, I noticed he had a little more pep to him....I always ask him "How was your day?" he replied it was GREAT!  Usually he just says it was" GOOD"!  I asked  "what made today so great"?....thinking oh he must like a girl, instead his response was I just feel good about myself Mom and the kids are really nice and so many kids are wanting to talk to me these days.  I thought to myself what a great feeling that is!  I have always told him when you are confident people will be attracted to that.  It is tough to be a middle school aged child, but I feel if he can get thru the next year....High School will be rockin for him!  As for Jack, he has too much confidence, I have to take him down a notch or two sometimes!  It's all good though, he is just a happy go lucky easy going Jack! Anyhow I guess today is giving thanks day!~ Thanks for stopping by.  Stay tuned for more topics and fun! Debbie

P.S. I am trying to grow my hair out, but today had to get a trim as it was out of control.  My husband has been calling me "hat" because I have been living in hats thru this growing out process! YES this is long for me....anyone ever try to grow their hair long at the age of 43???? There's a topic LOL!

Ok so it isn't a topic, but what a great thing for your son to come home and say! That's awesome! You must be a great mom and you are raising fantastic kids with confidence! So nice to hear a story like that! Thanks for sharing that with us!

It looks so good. That is long for me, too. Mine is longer on my neck. Kind of a choppy shag I guess. I need some weight cut out of it. The length is fine. I love yours like that. Any time I get past that length that you have I end up going and getting it cut. By the way, 43 is young..you can wear it anyway you want, too.

Glad you had a great day today! Most days I am grateful for the littlest things in life & that make me very happy.
How long are you planning to grow your hair out? Have you always worn it short? Short hair looks great on you.
You could always get long hair the easy way & get extensions! My hair has always been long(except for 1st grade) and am too chicken to get it cut short. Maybe someday when I am old & my hair turns gray...wait that might not be too far from now ... you know I will be 50 soon!

Debbie-I just stumbled on your blog! I don't think each post has to have a topic. I started my blog as kind of a journal for myself ( and to soothe the frustrated writer in me :). Ordinary days are the best! Good luck with your growing out process--hang in there! It will get worse before it gets better, but keep sight of the goal! I enjoyed my visit!

I am loving your blog. I haven't even hardly looked at RMS!!! Don't stress yourself out on it though or get burned out to quickly. You have a great thing going! I am 38 and grew my hair out about two years ago. I had the Kate Gosselin before Kate Gosselin. I like to think mine looked a little bit better! I would always cut it when it got below my ears, but my hairdresser started refusing which was good! The in between is the worst! Now my hair is long and I love that I can do so many different things with it. Although it is usually in a ponytail! Good luck. When you feel like you want to cut it, email me and I will talk you off the ledge!

My hair was almost like Kate Gosselin's too, and I cut it to be more like yours in hopes that it will grow out easier. I'm almost 40 and not quite sure I want it long. I fear looking funny with long hair when do get old, though, so I thought I should start now. That way I have time to go back short if need be in 5-10 years. I think it will take that long to get my hair long. :D :D Anyways, I stumbled on your blog from Rate My Space and find it cute and interesting that we are both from South Carolina, though you are a transplant. :D :D

I am definitely adding you to my read list.

I too am growing it longer, or at least that is the plan for now. Hubby said I had vixen hair today, that was a nice compliment. I was a kid in the 80s, but i love me some big hair!!! You are right about the confidence in your son. Confident is good, arrogant is bad. Ego is the downfall that eventually happens. Love your tunes by the way!

Hi ERIN!! So nice of you to play around and browse on my blog! It was really nice of you to participate and I do hope you come again. I certainly remember you always being kind on RMS! It was time for me to fly on there! I learned so much and met some awesome people, that is what I take away from it all. I will still go on from time to time, but my heart is not in it like it use to be!!~ I am loving to blog about life, my family, what I love the most, my decorating, my passions and opinions! So thank you again, and stop by soon. I loved learning about you! And I love me some big hair too....you should have seen my bangs back in the day!! And hoop earrings, had me every color to match my stir ups! Which are back!!~

Thank you for the welcome Debbie, I appreciate it. As for RMS, I have been on lately to look for some inspiration for paint colors for my friend's house. I have always liked Kim's spaces, your spaces and littlebertha's(probably some of your other visitors' as well). Too, you ladies are always positive and supportive of others' choices, even if it's not your own taste and I think that is what is important. Thanks again for the welcome and this is certainly a positive place to see/be!
