Aprons~~

Ok so I see these adorable Aprons everywhere.  Have been tempted to buy one...they are a little pricey though.  But anyhow....are women really wearing these again? Do you wear one? It reminds me of Mrs. Cleaver...and I can tell you I am not Mrs. Cleaver!!~LOL  no offense she was  a nice lady, but way too patient...always sweet, and well, just not ME!!~LOL

http://www.hostessblog.com/wp-content/uploads/uploaded_images/anth_aprons2.jpg Now these are way too cute! I think my husband would like these!~
http://littlewindowshoppe.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/aprons1.jpgThese look like summer dresses! So let me know if I am not up on this.....and I thought I was trendy! NOT!!~
After looking at all these again, I have decided....I am getting one...I will put it on my birthday wish list....hey I may as well look cute while cooking, maybe I will even start dancing! Which one is your favorite?

I do love cute aprons. I have about five hanging on hooks for display and I use a couple of them. Only when I am cooking something that splatters...too many shirts ruined and when I give Bailey a bath I use my thick Williams Sonoma one that my son-in-law gave me one Christmas since she soaks me.

Debbie, I have an apron similar to the black & white one at the bottom. I wanted to buy that very one, but found one that was similar that was a lot less! My husband wears a plain white chefs apron just as he did when he was Sous Chef at the Hyatt & Marriot.
I like your new background. It looks great! Not sure if I'm going to keep mine. Still have a few bugs in the html that I need to correct & I can't decide whether to keep the 3 column or have the regular 2 column. hmmm, so many decisions.! I am hoping my girls can help me with my blog this weekend. Both of them know how to edit html because they've done it for their myspace.

I love the aprons you showed. I have a lot of aprons, and I usually wear one when I am home, especially if I am cooking or cleaning. I also try to match it with what I am wearing. They are so fun.

I have a new found love affair with aprons and bought a super cute Jesse Steele one. I am not a typical housewife...but I am good with wearing a super cute apron now.

Happy Friday Follow!

I think the aprons are absolutely adorable. I never wear one, but maybe I should as I usually make a mess. For example, the other night I was making spaghetti. Our can opener doesn't work well so I started sawing a little part with a knife. All of a sudden it gave with a pop and spaghetti sauce shot out all over me. It was all over the front of my shirt, on my face, on my glasses, and in my hair with a particularly large blob on my forehead. I starting cracking up!!! I knew Tom would walk in any minute and would probably think that I had been shot in the head! I couldn't stop laughing as I cleaned up the mess! I don't know that an apron would help, but I would look awfully cute as a gun shot victim with an apron on!

I do have to say that I'm loving aprons lately. I personally only have one and for some reason when I do weare it it gives me the feeling that I can do just about anything around the kitchen...even if I can't. :) I love the black and white one. That would make me feel so glamerous in the kitchen if I wore it while working.

Here from the Friday Follow. Thanks for coming over to my blog and leaving such a wonderful comment. :)

Oh these are so pretty and so retro. I love 1950's stuff, I collect old colorful Fireking and Pyrex bowls and have a cupboard full of old Fiesta Dinnerware.

I have a collection of old aprons from the 1950's too but I would definitely wear that red/white one, Hell I might even have to learn to cook!

Hi Debbie, Thanks for stopping by and following. I'm your newest follower too! We moved to SC 15 years ago from Iowa and love life here. We live in Abbeville/Greenwood area out in the country on our acreage. I stayed home with my kids for as long as I could and then went back to work for my PhD and now teach at USC Upstate. I really do like all of these new aprons out there, but they are so expensive and we can make them by ourselves so easily! Talk to you more later! Bye for now, Roz (bella)

Hmm... aprons?! Great idea as they are cute (<-- Like we are!) and give the illusion that we are actually doing housework! I want a strand of pearls with mine. Is that possible?

I do wear an apron if I'm cooking or doing something messy and don't want to ruin my shirt. Mine is a Vera Bradley printed one I got for a birthday present one year.

Funny, funny, but I have been thinking about aprons a lot lately!! I need to wear one, so I was thinking about making some out of vintage flower sacks. These are so cute, too. My grandmother had lots of really pretty ones so I would always get one when I came over to help. I wish I could be more June Cleaver, but I'm afraid I'm more Lucy Ricardo, lol!! My morning *ensemble* is definitely not pearls and a dress!

Hi Debby! I have an apron in the kitchen but I do not really wear it. Well, not really, I wore it once when we were having a dinner party and I was already dressed and was not done cooking yet. I like the last 2, black and white and the red and white...Christine

Cute aprons! I have a few bib aprons that I like when I'm baking- one was an apron my mother made and wore when I was a child, so it has special meaning!

I have an apron that my students gave me, it has their thumbprint that a parent made into animals on it and it is so darling. I wear an apron because I am a very messy cook. Mine looks more like a chef apron, I would love one of those cute full aprons but I am too cheap to buy something I might ruin.

Pier 1 has some very similar aprons. I'm not an apron person myself, but I'm tempted to get one. I gave one to my sister at Christmas and she even uses them for for bathing the kids.
Hope you have been doing well. I just got my lap top back from the Dr. and finally back on the network. Miss you on RMS.

I've noticed these popping up all over too. I think they are adorable, but I'm like you, I am so NOT June Cleaver :). If I were to choose, I think I'd go for the pretty B&W print. But it's so cute, I'd be afraid to get it dirty! Now if you do get one, don't forget the pearls and heels tee hee. Kathy

Yes I've worn an apron most of my married life unless I'm cooking in my jeans, which I often do I guess. I used to make my own out of a simple pattern. Always with a bib though. I think these are so cute, but like the bottom row the best! Did you know there is a national wear an apron day every year? As well as a national hang out your laundry day. Really.

I own an apron that I absolutely adore! It was a little pricey, but once I realized that I couldn't make one, and someone did indeed make the one I own by hand, I thought "man, it's well worth it"! Especially considering all the clothes I ruin when I cook just because I must not believe in hand towels or something! hehe I just wipe everything on my! :D

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such an awesome comment! I'm sorry it has taken me such a long time to get over here to yours!
I look forward to being a reader!

Lots of Smiles!
