JUDGe JudY`

How long does it take to become a judge?

Answer

You have to be a lawyer for a few years, often seven...in some states there's an age barrier too, in Maryland you have to be thirty years old...

Other countries have different rules and regulations.

Thinking of the letter J!~ Today is Alphabet Thursday hosted by Jenny Matlock http://jennymatlock.blogspot.com.   I at first was going to choose my son Jack, although that would have been a very good choice....my mind raced and all of a sudden, I had a double J!~ JUDGE JUDY!
Judge Judy is an American court show featuring former family court judge Judith Sheindlin arbitrating over small claims cases. The series is in first-run syndication and distributed by CBS Television Distribution, the successor company to its previous distributors Worldvision Enterprises, Paramount Domestic Television, and CBS Paramount Domestic Television.[1]
Since premiering on September 16, 1996, Judge Judy has been the ratings leader in courtroom-themed reality-based shows.[2][3] As of 2009, the Judge Judy program has been nominated twelve times for Daytime Emmy Awards.[4] In January 2008, Judge Judy was extended through the 2012-13 season (the show's seventeenth).[5]
The program earned Sheindlin a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which she was awarded in February 2006.[6] Two DVDs have been released; the first in 2007 and the second the following year.

Judge judyYOu either love her or you hate her!~ We happen to really like her.  You see my oldest son Alex wants to be a judge someday.  Oh and he would make a very good one at that, with his ever so righteous personality, and I can totally see him taking center stage making tough decisions, he has already demonstrated this sort of behavior at a young age.  And he likes things his way, so I think he needs to be in the court of law too!  I like her no BS kind of attitude.  She runs a tight ship and tells it the way it is.....if you don't like it you can go to JAIL! well not really, but you know what I mean.
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUBqVSuuEBRRk3Nlr7zWxvrOAhCZJ0ZDf0-ps1txO3BYEAnwZEtEdy8zFHG6k7UNNuIrEbWMSxEeZIUHwvPP0SCZzCydq5tp1Lw77FXxc2Bn1ExmT1HrHN3C0zE7zg4CPvVQYswUB3-_0/s320/judgeJudy_258x280.jpg
I can only imagine what she is getting ready to say here! I feel sorry for the fool who winds up in her courtroom, who was the no do gooder! If you have never watched Judge Judy, I would recommend it.  Other court TV judges have come and gone....Judge Judy at the age of 67 is still going strong!~

Thanks for your visit and comments about my Jiffy Jeff post. It is interesting to see what folks come up with...it looks like "J" will prove quite eclectic...Judge Judy...I would never have thought of that. I read another that was about Juvenile Court...did you two get together?? Peace

Hi Debbie! I like Judge Judy for the same reasons you put in your post. But I didn't know all of that about her and I can't believe she's 67. I hope I look that good at that age!:-)

Thanks for the nice comments, etc. on all my 'changes' & Thanks for following my new 'adventures'! :-)

I always liked her show, but I haven't seen it in ages. I thought she was off the air and maybe she is here...or on late at night. Saturday Night Live used to do her every once in a while and it was so funny.

I would not have guessed she was in her late 60's. Wow.

I mean people always confuse my schoolmarm picture with someone much younger, but I think JJ puts even me, cranky old Mrs. Matlock, to shame!

Great Double J post!

A+

Loved your commercial. You were great! And you looked gorgeous in that shoot.

OK, so did you get some free WOW furniture for that?

Can you share more details of the how and why of this? I looked for a post about it.

Really, really cool.

Good double "J" post. We don't currently have cable or otherwise, but when I did I liked her "personal responsibility" approach to things and she's funny. Joni

I'm not much for those Judge shows. My husband now that he's retired watches all different judge shows all afternoon. Good thought though about Judge Judy. We must have been in sync.

I just think Judge Judy is a hoot! She does not put up with any nonsense, and sometimes she just cracks me up. I can't believe that she's 67 - she looks fantastic! Great choice for J. Kathy

I think Judge Judy is a mess! She cracks me up and I cannot imagine why anyone would agree to appear in her court, when they know she is going to slice and dice them!

Nice post!

I must confess, I've never seen her accept in commercials. (Not a lot of American tv over our way.). But you are great advertising. It makes me want to watch. I have a J-named son too and one who thinks he wants to be a lawyer (he's a good debater, anyway). Fun post! Thanks.

I laughed that you chose JJ as your subject! I've watched a bit in the past and she was a little firecracker. I actually heard her say, "Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining."

Excellent post, Debbie!

I love it when she doesn't put up with a fool's nonsense. I would hate to be a judge, though. Sometimes there is a no-win situation no matter what. And I wouldn't want the responsibility of determining another's situation. Thank you for your sweet comment on my post.

Personally, I'd rather watch Cops, Ride the Lightning suckers! We like to point out to our 8 year old (that gets to see it occasionally) that these are complete idiots that are typically f'd up on drugs. So moral of the story, don't do drugs, or you may ride the lightning, with your face planted in the pavement. Ohh, I really am not sadistic, really. :D
