Mom of BoYs~

I have to be honest and say, I always wanted to be a Mom to boys! From the minute I knew I was pregnant I was thrilled beyond words. I prayed first and foremost for a healthy baby, and that was my main concern.  At my 16 week first ultrasound, I remember clearly laying on the table, and saying please Dear God I hope I am having a boy.  WHY??? I am not sure....perhaps I was afraid of my own self, and not being able to handle a daughter, hormones, boys, and everything in between.  Well when the nurse said she saw his Penis, I screamed with joy!!~ Of course I am sure my husband was thinking a son would be cool too...but I don't think it would have mattered to him.  I will say this, had we had daughters, they would have had him wrapped, hooked, line and sinker around their little pinkies!~ (kinda like I do LOL!~) Then the second time around, I just knew Jack too would be a boy...I was meant to be a Mom of boys!~ I can get down and dirty with them when I had too, now they are getting too strong, so we do not horse around as much.  Today we took the boys to a childrens museum in Columbia, South Carolina.  I found myself at times a little quiet.  They are growing up.  Taking pics is very difficult, and I have to beg.  The museum was really geared toward younger age kids.  My boys had a nice time, and we laughed and joked...especially when Clifford came around and said HI!~ The boys where embarrassed, however, polite to ole Clifford the big red dog! Mosaic pic will enlarge when clicked.

Alex just will not smile normal anymore, I was lucky to get this!~

They actually wanted to take this pic.Again Alex not smiling normal at all!

They where having so much fun! Mike is the big Kid!

Perhaps future surgeons, Oh good I think I will need one, maybe they will be plastic surgeons.

Mike wanted to take a picture of me on the hand???
I love this picture, no rhyme or reason!
Happy Blue Monday, Mosaic Monday, and have a Mellow Yellow day!

Oh! That "surgical table" is a giant size "Operation" game from the late 60's!!!! My friends had that game and we used to play it at their house!

Very sweet post- looks like you all had a great time! I was just reading your back post about the copper fire extinguisher- I recently bought 2 of them, which I planned to put in our next sale- so it was very interesting to me to read your post!

You guys look like you'll had a lot of fun! I totally understand Alex not smiling normally- my big sister and me do that all the time and my mum totally cringes at the sight of us!

It's funny- my mum says she ALWAYS wanted daughters- two of them, so they could be there for each other. She thought boys would be difficult as kids and that she wouldn't have been able to handle them as they were growing up!

I'm glad God gave both of what you'll wanted :)

Looks like a great time! We have talked about going there. I've heard it is a lot of fun! We should have met up! Your hair is getting long and so is Jack's!!! I love that your boys talk to you and hang out. So many kids don't want to hang out with their parents and what a wonderful thing that they want to. You have some good boys there!

Being a boy mom is the best thing ever...when I had my 3rd son I got so many 'awww, well you're still young, you can try again' comments and my answer was always 'try for what? I have 3 gorgeous sons'. Thank you for posting this, and we will have daughters in our future when our lil men get married!!! We'll get to skip the whole teenage girl part:)

You all look like such a happy family. Those times together like that will be with the boys forever. It doesn't matter what the activity is. My son is now 22, and we are still very, very close. Its wonderful to see such happiness. TV only shows all the bad things.

I have seen your commercial at least 3 times. I can't wait until the store opens here, but it must be in 2011 b/c it doesn't look like they've done a thing to the site & I think it's suppose to open in May. Have you been to that huge antique mall/flea market just off of I-77 in Rock Hill or is it Ft. Mill? I like your Easter decorations. I've got so many post to do on mine, and haven't done the 1st one. It's hard w/ a 6 month old & a 10 year old who is into sports. Funny you hoped for boys. I hoped for girls. BTW, prior to moving here, we lived in Irmo, SC for 1 year, and I took my oldest girl there. It was cool for her (1st grade @ the time) to go thru 'Big Ed'. We never got to go to the zoo down there, but that is on our 'to do' list.
