Family room
Another rainy dreary day here in the Carolinas...much needed though so I am really not complaining too much.
I have finished most of my indoor Halloween/Fall decorating and thought I would share some changes. Nothing remarkable, just fun. The boys love it, and get a kick out of some of the things I do around here.
Now onto the the coffee table....
Just playing with my camera trying to get some cool shots.
I placed this cloth on Lucy's dog bed, she is staying clear of it...although she rarely sits or lays on it anyhow, she is a lap dog every chance she gets.

I really like the candles in the pumpkin, but I think I'd have to leave out the spiders. I'd be jumping every time I walked by.
It looks great and I love the picures too! You have such a beautiful home. Glad your boys appreciate the touches...the girls at my house hardly noice, much less the boys!

You are buying so much stuff from big retailers! Show the American crafters some love. Shop at etsy. You can even search for crafters in your immediate locality that would probably love to have some extra sales in time for the holidays.
Your home looks lovely, as always. . . but also very spooky now! I know your boys must get a real kick out of all the Halloween decor.
Know what's funny? My boys are now 19, 17, and 13--they're all bigger than I am--and I still call them "the boys." I guess I'll still call them that when they're all adults. Once a boys' mama, always a boys' mama!

I see that candle pumpkin thingy on your coffee table. From Walmart right? I couldn't decided whether to buy it but now that I see it lit, I have to go get one. See the trouble you started? lol

Hi Debbie, Your house looks so "WICKEDLY" spooky. I bet the boys go crazy over your decorating. I can't seem to bring myself to decorate for fall yet. I think because I'm still in the decorating mode of the new house I'm not able to transition just yet, I'm still in a beachy mode, lol. Love seeing what you are doing though!

Love it....ummmm I must tell you that the rats creep me out a little. Im lucky that I can handle all the spiders in the dining room. Ugh... I love what you've done. That stained glass window is so gorgeous..I love it more everytime I see it.

Oh this is soooo magazine worthy! I think you did a fantastic job. The moss on the FP with your candleabra reminds me of an "old" spooky house! LOL! Then you added the rats and that totally hit the mark! You did a wonderful job with the new photos you were trying out too. They really set the ambiance! Mysterious & spooky!
Loved the lighting you chose for the pictures. Makes it look so Halloweenie and creepy lol. Great job Debbie. Too bad the trick or treaters don't come in the house, I'm sure they'd love it.

Halloween is my favorite holiday and Fall is my favorite season (I have to live vicariously thru photos like yours to enjoy Fall in Flordia!) and I love love love your living room! It looks so cozy and inviting. Dang, I wish I could sit a spell right there on your leather couch in the light of the candles :( Enjoy and stay cozy!

I had to comment back and tell you that a few minutes after leaving my first comment about the spiders I turned around and there was one on our floor! I paused for a second and then went in panic mode! I immediately thought of you and your spider decor! I got a good laugh this morning :)

I used to decorate for Halloween when the kids were small, now I've slacked off a bit. You have such a beautiful home and it shows in your photos!
My boys loved when I decorated for the holidays too. Esp. Halloween!!! It was their very favorite & had so much fun helping me.
Taking these pictures on a rainy day was Perfect, Debbie!! Awesome!

How do you manage creepy, spine tingling, eerie, elegant, and warm all at the same time? If I did that, it would just look like I never clean, I swear. You truly are the master.

The settings for your pics turned out great. It really gave me spooky feeling with the halloween decor! I think it's funny that your dog hasn't gotten near his bed since you put the witches ball on there! I am sure your kids are lovin the spirit of halloween in your house!
