GARAGE SALEN PARTY ON! Lions, Tigers, and witches oh my....

Today I was decorating outside for Halloween.  I kept thinking of the Wizard of Oz...as my porch theme seems to be going a little witchy.
First let me take you back to a table from the summer time, you will  recall I bought it from the thrift store.

 Remember how hideous this was???

then I created this little magic...sprayed blue, modge podged the top....enjoyed it for the summer time...but had something different in mind for Fall and Winter.
Took some major scraping to get all that modge podge off........as you can see it is in rough shape...what do you want for $6.00??
Started the process, first spray painted, then I bought the Valspar glaze in my color choice and started painting it on. This was my first time. It was fun, and I can see why Kim my buddy from Savvy Southerner like's it so much. Easy to work with too.

Oh and here is my score for the day...these skeleton votives for .50 cents each at our local thrift store.
I look forward to seeing your scores this week as always. As you can see I really did not show you the porch in full...more to come on that, still working on it.

Link will be up tomorrow some time......see you then.

Debbie I love the way that table turned out! I can testify I have used Valspar glaze for years and I love it! I was one of those wall glazers that ended up glazing room after room back in the day. I always used this glaze it is the best and a little goes so far! I've not really used it on furniture much and am really wanting too after seeing all of Kims' beauties! You really turned that table around with this latest application. I love it!

Debbie Dear, you are so wonderful!! And, you're the smartest one! Look at your little table all all spooked up! I'll bet you're the greatest mom doing all of this to make your little guys so happy and besides, they'll have the spookiest house in the neighborhood.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I really like that weathered look and putting the table sideways was another great idea! You have so many!! You seriously could teach some classes at a local community college. The one I work at has lots of people come in to teach craft type classes. But in the 4 years I've been here, No one is as talented as You, Debbie!! Seriously, think about it! :-)

Have a Wonderful weekend!!!!

Coreen

This is my favorite version of the table so far!! It looks like you even changed the shape of it but it's likely just the different way the pic is taken.

I'd love the decorate for halloween but I know me....and I'd be too lazy to take it down. I had Christmas glitter balls hanging from my chandelier for over 2 years once. LOL.

Hey Debbie-glad to be a part of your parties-love your style and all the fun that goes along with it. Read your comments about followers-my only thought-I've had some trouble with the following thing -people would leave comments on the one person I was officially following-my best friend Tete-they'd even address her with my name. I guess they just got confused on the profile page. I save several people on my sidebar and check on them several times a week but don't officially follow for this reason. I totally understand what you mean-but I still want to be friends and look at your blog either way. Just thought I'd share what has happened to me-both my friend and I were having problems. Always glad to come over and see what you're up to!
