It's DONE, Creative HIGH PART II

I do not let any grass grow under my feet as the saying goes! I had it pretty much in my mind I was going to do it, I was excited in fact!  However, my biggest opinion needed was every step or every other.  So this is how the story goes.
Pretty drab really when you look at it.
I saw this pretty stencil while at Hobby Lobby, and that is when it hit me.
Mike happened to be with me, I KNOW poor guy at Hobby Lobby on his day off. And I asked him his thoughts.  He was not happy to be honest at FIRST
But like we said, it's only paint.
I have to be honest, I really don't like it
I LOVE IT!

I even started to decorate for Valentines day, just a tad here and there so far.

This shield is on the left going up the stairs

And we have this pretty vintage light in the area as well.

Someone mentioned it being a tedious job. NOT at all. It took me about an hour hour and half at most. Really simple, cheap, and I think it adds a lot to dreary area of the house.
I mixed these two colors. First I did the penny color, and then lightly rolled the black for a shading appearance. These little rollers are AWESOME to use when stenciling.
FUNNY, Jack came home from school today and he said "WOW Mom I love the stairs, you are really getting good at painting like an artist" I said Thank you son. Does he really need to know the truth??

Now the problem is, I want to stencil everything in site!
Thank you all for your opinions, that was great!

This is a blast from the past, Debbie. I remember the days when stencils were SO in! You are probably a little young but I had every wall in my house stenciled in some decorative pattern. And went and stenciled my friend's baby nursery with little brown bears with red curly ribbons between them to match her red gingham baby bedding. I'm a huge fleur de lis lover so I most definitely LOVE it!

I love it! You did it right too, if you had done every step it would have felt way too busy...That's really awesome...Did you give it a srpray of clear? Don't want to lose the pretty design any to quick! You need your own store...you and your Mom would be awesome together! Lots of creative flow between you two!

I don't like it either! I LOVE it! Stencil is the way to go. After removing the awful wall paper that was in this house when we moved in I said I would never use wallpaper. I stenciled my living room just in the corners and around some portraits in the same shades you used. I have also stenciled my kitchen and then free handed accents so it looked less like a stencil. Debbie,... it looks fabulous!
