Coffee talk Tuesday, As seen on TV

I have officially ended all the newbie coffee talks series.
You can read all the tips and tricks and fun that was shared under my header.
Moving on here....

We've all seen those late night infomercials,
How about QVC or home shopping network?  Are you one of those late night gals that just get mesmerized sucked in  and just  have to have it?
I am not, to be honest.
I have bought a few of the As seen on TV items, but I have never stayed up late and watched those shows and ran to the phone.  Not there is anything wrong with it, could be fun I suppose.

They have an entire little section at Walgreens, and with my discount I get it for an even better price.

So my sister, being the genius that she is...you know it runs in the family, had this fun idea for my blog...
http://www.bestofasseenontv.com/handy_switch/handy_switch_as_seen_on_tv.jpg

My sister told me that their local TV station runs a segment every morning on these As seen on TV.
People give there opinions and a give a thumbs up or thumbs down.
Oh wait a minute, this is a pedipaws, not a pedicure your own paws, dang....

So  tell me if you have ever bought  an AS seen on TV item.
Would you like to share it with us all, and give a thumbs up or thumbs down?

Newbie party still going on HERE
and check out my other website for some fun stuff HERE

I won't even tell you what I thought you were holding. For us non-pet-at-this-time peeps. And the get-up, wow. I'm with the pup....giggle-giggle... What did you put in your coffee today. Send some my way, please.

Crackn' up,
Kate

I don't watch QVC, but I love the "As seen on TV" section at Walgreens and Target. Some of the things are really good, but some are ridiculous. I bought Blingeez which organizes jewelry & it is perfect for keeping my daughter organized. I bought a Magic Bullet for my daughters and they love making smoothies with it. I also bought a windshield microfiber thingy which I really need to use! I really get a kick out of the Pajama Jeans commercials!

You look so cozy with your Snuggie. :)
Every now and then I buy one of those "as soon TV items", but I have much more fun watching the commercials. They can be funny! :)

I DID I DID I DID! I bought the green bags...as seen on TV! I bought them in a department store but the box had 'as seen on TV' and they really do work! You put your fresh produce or fruit in them and put them in the crisper drawer. They keep things drier and it lasts longer! I was afraid this was 'what I wore Wednesday' and I was going to have to have a little girlfriend talk with you! heeheehee! I LIKE this idea! ♥♥♥

Oh...I bought the petipaws as soon as it came out. I thought it would be the answer to all my problems with dogs and their toenails. Wrong! There is only one thing dogs hate more than some clippers coming at them and that is a little motorized sanding tool. No way were they going to let me get anywhere near them with that. I managed to get one dog's toe in there and it freaked. So I tried it on myself and yes...that vibration is very unpleasant....of course they hate it. It's been in the drawer ever since unused.

My husband and I used to get caught up in it and one Saturday morning we said the next item that was $19.99 we were gonna buy, wound up being one of those ab sapper in shape things and once it was all said and done was ALOT more than $19.99! All we ever did was sit around zapping each other with it. Total waste but loads of fun.

OMG! You are too funny, I was wondering what you were holding there! I don't believe I've ever bought an As Seen on TV item. But I have fallen into the QVC trap occassionally.

Girl, my Shake Weight ROCKS, especially doing it while wearing my husband's NY Yankee snuggie! The Ped Egg for pedicure perfect feet is a must, too! Love me some "As Seen on TV." You look beautiful in your snuggie, too. *Becca*

Debbie, you are way too funny! I think most of us have done the "as seen on TV" at one time or another. I bought the onion chopper, but didn't have the strength to push it down to chop the onion. It looked so easy on TV--not! Thanks for making me smile today. Peggy

I love looking at the "as seen on TV section"!!!!
In fact, I actually NEED the handy switch!! My bed is in the "wrong" place in my bedroom (according to the person who built it), so my light switch is of no use! Now, I have to go! I've got to buy it on-line immediately!!

Hi Debbie, It's always so fun to stop by and visit you, I never know what I'm going to find, lol!
I don't buy things like that on TV but my husband would buy it all, he is so funny, I have to stop him from running to the phone.

LOL- No! I have never bought anything from a TV ad...Oh-wait I lied. I did! I did! I did! I bought Bare Escentials (yes that IS the correct spelling) make up..I bought it about 7 or 8 years ago and I sm still using it and I love it. It gives me nice light (very light) coverage and I don't feel like I have any makeup on at all. It is minerals so healthy for the skin too. So..thumbs up on that one for me!

MyHero, on the other hand, sent away for some hair restorer....cures baldness - was the ad promotion I believe. Did it work? Let's just put it this way...did you ever see hair on an egg? Thumbs down! Diana

AND- OMG- Have you SEEN those pajama JEANS commercials? Come on- WHO is gonna buy those things!?

Oh Debbie you are too funny! I wasn't sure what you were holding at first!
I have banned myself from QVC, except at Xmas. They do have very good buys on brand name and designer name brands. We bought our Wii game at Xmas from QVC and have not seen it cheaper any were else! (and I won't even begin to tell you how many purses I've bought from QVC)
Take care,
Wendy

Okay, I admit it I had to have a "Bump It" for my hair. The little plastic things that make the back of your hair stand higher. Yeah Right... Don't waste your money girls. They did nothing for my hair, and lightened my wallet. lol
I also got the Pedipaws for the Furr Boys. Two out of the three let me use it on them. Which one dog is deaf and doesn't hear it, the other one I have promise a bag full of animal crackers. The red furr boy runs and growls. So well you live and learn.

You are so funny. Love that about your blog. We do have a Snuggie. Someone gave it to us for a Christmas gift but no one dares to use it for fear of what everyone else in the house will do or say to them. Cracking up at the Garden Bell's comment.

I knew that was a Pedipaws the minute I saw the picture!!! Ha! I love all the kitchy stuff!

I have the Ped Egg for feet. LOVE IT!

I have the set of tupperware containers in a spinner thing and all the tops fit all the containers. LOVE IT!!! I actually bought a second one!

I bought Tom the windshield cleaner thing for Christmas and it hasn't been used yet. I will keep you posted on that.

I also bought the ab roller late one night. If i had used it more, it may have worked, but I sold it in a yard sale for $10!

My mom was a QVC addict. I have never bought from there though... wait... I bought some skin cream from there once. Liked it. I do watch QVC though every St. Patrick's Day as I love to hear the Irish people they have on there and I want to buy it all, but I don't... yet!!!

Great post!!!

I haven't bought any as seen on tv items, but I will tell you that we were in Bed Bath Beyond the other day and SB(the 6yr old) said, "We need that!" I responded, "What?!" And he said, "The ShoesUnder! We need that!"

Mind you, all he saw was the sides of the boxes that were piled up. He could recognize them because of the pervasive infomercials.

I just snorted out my tea after reading Kate's comment. At my baby shower for SB, my sis gave me a baby med kit filled with baby tylenol, aspirator, etc. She had placed one of the thermal read thermometers that you just run over a kids head in the med kit. When I was going through the kit, she stated, "That's not a d__do, it's a thermometer."

I can tell this'll be a really fun series. Thanks for sharing.

Oh Debbie, yes - I did buy the pedipaws....as soon as the battery was installed and the switch turned on, not one dog was left in the room. Needless to say, it has been in the drawer every since, but now that I saw your post - maybe, just maybe there is something else I can do with this thing!

oh goodness! I once bought one of those salad spinners, three for the price of one....just three easy payments of 9.99. I never used one let alone three. I ended up giving them away just to get them out of my face and reminding me how unwisely I spent my money, lol.

I think I would buy some of the products if I could see them close up in my hands.
