Stenciling burlap part II, NEWBIE party going strong.
Seeing I showed you yesterday my stenciled art work on burlap, I thought I would show you the ROLL I am on now.
Have you figured out by now, I get fixated on one project and keep it going? Yeah well, I do!
I knew after viewing this picture this old frame which was my husbands Aunt's needed a lil somethin' somethin', this frame has been sitting in a closet doing nadda!
So today I thought of it.
See here the empty blah blah frame |
I thought it would be nice to welcome my guests. |
And here you have once again, a little color, texture and dimension to a plain ole frame. |
Thanks so much for popping over.
My newbie party is still going on
Our guest room is ready for the full reveal, however the weather is not cooperating, and I refuse to take pictures of it on a cold dreary wet day.
Hopefully the
sun will come out tomorrow! because you can bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow may be the reveal...
so come back soon. Oh wait a minute..I do have one more thing to share in here project wise..so maybe that will be tomorrow and NOT the entire room...
psyched you out

I just received some more chalk paint. I have added the link to my side bar..
I highly recommend you trying it out.

Love it! I love the orange burlap - you have so much fun with color! And I love the scrabble tiles. I have a big bag of them in the craft room, that really need to be incorporated into a project soon. Thanks for sharing.

I am checking out the site on your blog, selling the chaulk paint... have you tried the waxes? I love paste wax on my painted funiture, I'd be interested to try their wax too!

The lamp came from World Market a couple of years ago. Thank you for stopping by.
And yes, I do love the chalk paint and have purchased a wax as well. I can't wait to get started on my next project.

Hi Debbie,
Cute little number you did on that burlap! I totally understand your dilemma with weather not cooperating for pictures. It's impossible to get pics during Jan and Feb in Narnia. ;) Look forward to seeing your new laundry room though.

Looks great! LOVE that you love color so much. It really makes me happy, regardless of the weather. It's been cold & dreary, drippy here. Quite a change from what we've been having. Oh well, it will change again shortly ~ that's Texas! :-)

You did a nice job on this, Deb, and I am looking forward to seeing your room reveal! Cold and dreary..who cares? Turn the lights on and snap away! xxoo Diana
Fun project, Debbie...in fact, the whole room looks like a happy whimsical place! Looking forward to the reveal!
Love the frame and the scrabble tiles really added to the burlap. We had SNOW this morning, just enough to be pretty and cover the ground. Going to check out the chaulk paint now. Hugs, Vicky
Hi Debbie,

You are on a roll aren't ya girl. I need to be. I even have new stencils, and some burlap left on a roll, they just need to be used. Great job.
Really cute ideas, love using the scrabble tiles! I'd say you scored triple points!
That is so perfect for Spring, Debbie! That burlap took the paint well and I love the Scrabble letters you added. I recently stenciled fabric myself and was so worried the paint would just spread, but I was surprised to find it turned out very well. I like this orange burlap and I actually saw a couple of colors of burlap at my local Joann's.
I hope the weather improves, I want to see the reveal!
Another great creation, love the stencil work and the colors are fantastic, you took this frame to another level,AMAZN'!
Love your TT!..can't wait to see the "REVEAL".

Hi, I just found your blog and I love that burlap matting idea, and the scrabble pieces are so cute! After seeing several of those scrabble tile ideas, your project is giving me some ideas.
I would love to have you stop by my blog sometime if you get a chance. I'm new at this and it's definitely a work in progress. I just became your newest follower!
Everything is looking good Debbie! I'm loving that orange. Can't wait to see the reveal.
Enjoy your day,

Oh Debbie! You really are AMAZING! I love all of your burlap projects, but the addition of the letters makes this one special!!
I also love your new header. I meant to tell you the other day!!

I love the vintage frame...looks art deco to me. Love the scrabble tiles and stencil too! I completely agree about the weather, the weekend was awful but I got sun today!
I'm about to play with some orange myself, and I'm loving your burlap! You did an amazing job stenciling on such a difficult fabric.
A great diy art project and very cute vignette! Thanks for linking up to the party!
