Romantic bedroom Part I

Most of you know I have taken on a big job of painting our bedroom furniture.
I have wanted a new bedroom set for sometime now.
Mr. Doos and I compromised and instead of spending a lot of money on all new furniture that was NOT really a necessity, just a want (we all know how that goes), we bought  only a really pretty iron bed.
After my husband saw what I did to the guest room furniture with the chalk paint, he was pretty impressed and confident I could make over our current furniture.
I have only done one piece so far, as this one piece will be the Robin eggs blue (Chalk paint) and the other two pieces will be matching in color, which I will reveal later.
I plan on changing out all the hardware, which I found these gorgeous knobs at World Market on sale now for $2.99 for a twin pack.

How bout a peek at the bed...it is gorgeous! we truly love it. We bought it on line, it is  a Wesley Allen.
Our room has definitely taken on a different tone and feel.

How about this lamp I scored for $19.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond, it was on clearance. It is different, but I like the way it looks overall.
This is the before piece...WOW What a difference huh?

Thanks for stopping by...I have a couple things going on now.

FIRST my Lisa Leonard giveaway
Then My newbie party

Oh and did I mention Country woman magazine is coming to our home on April 26th? You can read about that here...
I am a little overwhelmed and excited at the same time.  Today we picked up a copy of the mag to see how they actually feature kitchens..
WOW it is a pretty impressive and not just a small little snippet. They do a fantastic job, and I hope ours turns out just as nice as the past features in their magazine.
I really have to get cleaning girls, my favorite thing to do...except now I am stress cleaning!

I will be joining the lovely Marty for her
Table top Tuesday party

WOW!! It looks fantastic. So you think the chalk paint is worth it? Did you buy the wax and colored wax to go with it? Can you paint other paint on it, if you want to ad a stencil or something to it? I'm curious b/c I've thought about getting some for a bunch of glossy furniture in desperate need of new paint!!!
Congratulations on the Country Woman photo shoot!!!! That's really amazing, but looking at your kitchen, I can see why they asked you. That is so fun!!!
Hey, whatever doesn't get cleaned just stick in the oven; I'm sure they won't take pictures in there. :)

Hi Debbie,
Great redo on the nightstand--so much fresher than the previous PB look. More than that, I like your camera style...small vignettes on the angle. CW use that sort of photo style on their pages? I'll have to visit the newsstand to see CW looks like.
