Just in case the World ends today......

My friend Pat posted about this, and I recall during the week hearing about it as well.
Well just in case,
I wanted to tell you All..how much I have loved blogging, loved you, loved your comments and it has been a fun ride! This is all just in case....

And if you think I believe this is going to happen...
No WAY, NO how...
see you tomorrow night for the newbie party.
XO

Here is the article I found,
tell me your thoughts.

Is the World Ending Saturday?
COLUMBUS -- It's been a rough spring in Central Ohio. We've had tornadoes, days of endless rain, floods.. and now a billboard predicting the world will end this Saturday.
Harold Camping, 89, and those who follow his California Family Ministry have been broadcasting this doomsday prediction for months.

Camping based it on years of studying the Bible, and a math equation based on what he believes is the date of Christ's crucifixion.

"That's a very interesting perspective", said Arlene Lynch who says she's keeping the faith.
"There's been so much new thought on the Bible, new revelations on it since some of the lost testimony was discovered in the 1940's that I'm not sure he's taken that into consideration."

"I guess it's a little bit in the back of your mind. you wonder is it gonna happen? could it happen? " said Stacey Gilbert of Westerville.

"It's out of my control if it happens. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't I'll just wake up on the 22nd and go on with out lives. I'm not too worried."

Some say life is short, eat chocolate. At the Chocolate Cafe in Grandview Heights, Elise Lynch agrees. "Whether life is short or long, you should probably be eating chocolate", she said.

A sweet idea. Guess we'll all have to wait and see.

In the meantime, Mike and I are still going to clean up our yard, and plant some new trees.
Just in case, I hate to leave things a mess.

The bible says no one knows the day nor the hour. I don't believe any of these people who say the world is going to end on a certain day. They have been doing this for years. Have a great weekend.

I agree with Kim - honestly those people irritate me. Just the same it never hurts to take stock of what of is important and do things like readjust your priorities and let people know you care.

Good documentary shot of the remaining wood!! Have fun picking out new trees.

The Bible says no one knows the day nor the hour save the Father. So Jesus does not know either so how on earth could this man know?

I'm looking forward to this guy explaining himself on Sunday when we all wake up to another day. We should all live like today is our last day regardless...with no regrets and lots of "I love you's"!

LOL! It seems like every year someone decides THEY know the exact day the world will end and it just proves how much they DON'T know! :-)
You cracked me up about not wanting to leave a mess...kind of like cleaning the house before you go on vacation, huh?!

Yep, I echo what everyone else is saying, no one can know! This guy also predicted the same thing in 1994 but then after it didn't happen he said that Christ did come back and took the Holy Spirit away and now no one should go to churches anymore because they are all run by Satan. No kidding. It's sad because many people believed him and even sold their homes to pay for billboards.

As a Christian I'd be thrilled if Jesus came back but I don't think it will be today. It is nice to think about how we're living our lives though in a "what if" sense to make ure we're living according to our true beliefs.

have a great weekend!

That guy must not read the same Bible as the one I know. I agree with everyone--live EACH day as if it might be your last and then it won't matter. I do like your cleanup attitude, Deb!

"It's the same ol' song, but with a different beat...."

It's kind of sad, really, that people get all worked up over this. By focusing on one time frame, they're missing out on a lot of positivity and happiness that life could bring.

Cheers,

It is as foolish as the movie 2012 was... No one knows when it will be the end of this universe.... just imagine if you knew about your future or things like that ... Can you live with peace? God love us and I mystries and knowing about future is only for HIM not for us ordinary people.... HE love us so much that HE give the peace of mind, a relaxed life, and beautiful dream for future... not as horrible thing as that guy said...

Hehehe, funny post Debbie!!! Kyran and I were listening to talk radio yesterday and they were playing an interview of some guy...a Berkeley graduate...who has been teaching his 3 year old daughter about today being the day that the good people are going up to Heaven. What's he going to tell her tomorrow morning when we're all still here??? Cuckoo!!!! Poor kid being raised by such nutjobs!

I just went about my business and didn't give it a thought today. Those predictions come up every so often and it's a shame how they get people worked up. BTW did you see the posting from Vignette Design about the blogger who's house got trashed by a big tree? Seeing your cut up tree stacked up made me think of that! Have a great tomorrow Deb!

OMG! Just saw this! Read my Sharing Jesus Sunday post about this when you get a chance. You will not believe what my husband told me last night. Amazing! I certainly know better then to believe in this type of stuff but I couldn't agree with you more about taking the oppourtunity to tell everyone how special they are. I did the same thing with all my fb friends yesterday and left a "just in case love message" too, on my status. LOL!

Hey! I am catching-up on your blog. Can you believe that the speaker @ my daughter's graduation based his whole speech on the possibility that the world would end the next day???? What an @$$...not a very inspiring speech for these sweet kids who worked so hard to graduate from one of the most difficult high schools in the country....*sighs*....
